Survived my first full day away from this cutie!!
Made her this bonnet yesterday before I left as a piece offering so she wouldn’t hate me for making her drink a bottle for 12 hours 🍼😂

I don't think I shared this make from about 2 weeks ago. I know, I know, another of the same sort of tee in a different fabric. 🤷🤷🤷 But for me, this isn't broke, so I'm not going to fix it! In the summer, I pair it with shorts. As it cools down, I'll pair it with jeans. When it gets even cooler, I'll pair it with a cardigan as well. Having a smaller bust, the neckline is a perfect height and the fitted area over my bust subtly accentuates it. The waist is relaxed and comfortable with a nice drape, so I don't feel as conscious about my stomach. The sleeves fit well around my arms and aren't too short. 👏👏👏 A good fitting tee and pants is all I really need in my wardrobe, so I don't plan to stop making them anytime soon. 💁🤭😘 You guys know you're forever pulling out your favorite tee over and over again to wear from your wardrobe. I am just lucky enough to have a lot of them. 😊

When I go to the effort of printing, taping together a pdf then cutting a Swedish tracing paper version, I always make a couple variations of a pattern. Here is a knit edition with organic jersey of the #alicedress by #tessutifabrics . I think it reads a little “nightgown” but covered all my jiggly bits before and after yoga today so I was presentable at the grocery. Dreaming up plans for my new Marimekko fabric 🌼 #memadewardrobe#memadeeveryday
This is the wrap dress I made last year, and the photo was taken then, but never put in here. I guess some of you have seen me wear it both this summer and last. It's a slippery bias viscose wrap dress made in a pattern for knit fabric. And I also changed the style lines of the skirt pieces, removing darts among other things. So it was a lot of effort put in to making it work. But I did it. 💪 #memadewardrobe#sewingrocks#syglede#skandinaviasyr#handmadewardrobe#handmadewardobe
Finished another top. I really like this fabric 😊This pattern is so comfy and easy- I made it in like 2 hours 👍 Had to stop working on hubbys shirt because I messed up the color and didn’t have any extra fabric to cut out another 😫Fortunately my local fabric store had the fabric and I’ve cut another collar. Oh the lessons of sewing. 😊#isew#isewmyownclothes#sewing#ilovesewing#memade#memadewardrobe
They don’t make them like this anymore. Found a few more treasures in my grandmother’s sewing box. #beldingcorticelli thread spools and the most fantastic seam gauge in all the land. I remember her using those seam gauges when I was a kid. ✂️
Has anyone used vintage thread in a sewing project? I’ve heard that as it ages it’s too delicate to use for construction. Looking for suggestions on how to use this in some special projects!
Editing this video sewing tutorial right now.....I think it's a bit good & not what You think! Should be ready to watch on Stitchless TV by tomorrow evening..... #sewersonintagram#sewingvlogger#youtuber
I haven’t had the chance to do a lot of sewing for myself lately, but I did manage to whip up this #ogdencami this past week! I’ve had this fabric stashed away since I first moved to NYC in 2013, and I’ve just been waiting for the perfect pattern to present itself. I do believe it was worth the wait 💛
Pants are my new hand dyed #gingerjeans 🌸

Ever wonder where fabric stores and designers source their fabrics? This is one of the places! Though it doesn't look too fancy, the #dgexpo in New York is the best place to find all sorts of amazing textiles. I had the pleasure to go this week, and I'm super excited about the fabrics I've picked for upcoming boxes. Can't wait to share them with all of you!!

#thoughtfulthursday When you start making your clothes it's good to sit down and think what colors feel 'you' the most. There are plenty of colors that may feel tempting but in the end I advice you to to value your time and make clothes in colors you will actually wear, and while doing that you will also be more thoughtful of the environment. I already touched upon this subject in yesterday's post but as it's thoughtful Thursday, I figured I could talk about it some more. Some of my go-to colors are red, black, white and gray. Is there a difference for you as to which colors you are drawn to and which colors you actually wear? Let me know, I'd love to hear your thoughts! ❤ Johanna
