The Bitter melon (Momordica charantia) also known as bitter gourd, balsam, bitter apple and carilla fruit is a type of edible, medicinal fruit that is native to Asia, Africa and parts of the Caribbean.
I have used this over the years in my protocols for particular chronic illnesses for clients but wasn’t inclined to add it to my regular diet until after doing some missionary work in the Philippines where basically it was eaten at every meal. This melon does have a bitter taste & later I will share a recipe to make it tasty. However, there are a myriad of health benefits.
‼️BENEFITS OF BITTER MELON‼️ *
1. MAY REGULATE GLUCOSE LEVELS
2. IT IS RICH IN DIETARY FIBER
3. HIGH IN A NUTRIENT THAT BOOST IMMUNITY
4. PROTECTS THE SKIN FROM CELL DAMAGE
5. HELPS WITH WEIGHT LOSS
6. PREVENT AND TREAT MALARIA
7. PREVENTS WATER RETENTION
