Brilliant colours shimmering in tandem: a vibrant image inspired by summer colours, citrus flavours and memorable sunsets. My art replicates a mood, it captures a moment...I’m an impressionist at art ❤️ Have a look at my artist’s shop on @artloversaustralia for more information about this painting #australianartist#abstractart by #annemareewiseartist

If you love vintage things as much as I do, do not miss @themelbournefair at Caulfield Racecourse THIS WEEKEND. I've always loved vintage treasures, and I've owned this little stack of vintage suitcases for years. The bottom case is an original leather trunk and it belonged to my great grandmother, who loved it and cherished it so much that when it was handed down, it was still in good condition. There's something about the way vintage treasures tell a story, the way they embody quality and craftsmanship. Each vintage thing I own is so unique, and buying vintage or #preloved is a sustainable way to shop too. I'll be popping down to The Melbourne Fair on Saturday to see what I can find to add to my collection, and I’m sure I won’t struggle - there'll be dozens of exhibitors with furniture, decorative arts, #antiquejewellery , books, #fashion , #vintagecouture , and all things luxury! The Melbourne Fair runs from Thursday August 9 through to Sunday August 12; buy your tickets at themelbournefair.com.au and come treasure hunting with me!
Before you spend any money on advertising (any kind of advertising), make sure of the following:
1- You have a product or service that people want and are happy to pay for.
It doesn't matter how good your ads are, or the agency you hired, if no one wants your product or service, or at least not at your price point, you'll only waste money.
2. Your brand is aligned with your audience and your claims. Here's something I've mentioned a number of times before. Your brand (look, design, voice, reputation) needs to reflect your values and your positioning in the market.
You can't offer a premium product or service, at a premium price, if your brand looks cheap.
Invest in your brand first.
3. Your website is your shopfront. I don't care if you have a brick and mortar shop too. Nowadays, your website IS your shopfront. If people land on a poorly designed website, one that takes forever to load, doesn't flow naturally, has no clear path or calls to action and isn't mobile friendly, that's a recipe for disaster.
In fact, it's the worse thing you can do: Have great ads that people click on but leave your website faster than you can blink. You'll be paying for those clicks, but no sales in return.
These are crucial elements of a successful advertising campaign, in fact, of a successful business.
In a nutshell, advertising will only amplify what's already happening in your business. If everything is working well, great ads will give you results.
If things aren't working as they should, you'll waste a lot of money.
Pop your questions here if you've got them.
