∼ MORNING ROUTINE ∼
⠀⠀
Part of my morning routine is meditation. 
I decided to include this as a daily practice cause I’ve noticed how it can positively set my mind for the day. I meditate betwen 10 to 25 min depending on the day. I have a few types of meditation I practice depending on what feels right. For anyone interested, this is what I do😇:
1. I turn on some nice relaxing music on my head phones and focus on my breath - how the air is coming into my nose and how it’s coming out, how my tummy rises and falls.
2.  I tell myself in my head what I am greatful for in my life, what I am greatful about the day before or the past week.
3. I am practicing being mindful of my surroundings: birds voices, wind blows, cars, steps and voices of the people in the house. I tap into my senses - feeling the air coming from my nose, feeling the touching points of my body with the linen, feeling the earth benith me, the clothes on my skin etc.
4. I de - clutter my mind - letting my mind go through all of the thoughts she wants, letting my mind be crazy, let her visit any thought she wants but only very quickly, starting a thought and switching - progressing to another like changing tv channels. This practice helps me cleanse my mind from all of the mess and lets her become still.
5. I still my mind and listen, make space for my higher self to speak. I listen - cause in this stillness I usually receive guidance for what to focus on this day. What my priorities are, how I can nourish myslef in the best way for this day or how to resolve problems that bother me.

At FISU Meditation we have had excellent success in helping those with insomnia return to a regular sleep pattern and often quicker than expected.
As we all know, unresolved anxiety causes stress that elevates our attention and autonomic nervous system to keep us in the sympathetic state where our senses are heightened in case we need to “fight or flight.” This directly affects our sleep and ability to switch off.  Rest is so vital to balanced and integrated physical and mental health, so when we do not sleep well, it has both a physical and psychological consequence, directly weakening our mental health.

Why do we need stillness? If you are reading this, then you likely already know why. Assuming you’d like to supplement your curiosity, however, consider the speed at which things are moving in life. For most of us, it’s safe to say that things can get busy, even chaotic, at times. Despite increased efficiency in technology and broadened horizons of information sharing, there’s never enough time for everything we want to do and everywhere we want to be. Life just moves fast — real fast.

Though, just because life itself tends to move fast, doesn’t mean that we have to adhere to this rule as well. We can find moments, simple moments, of tranquility throughout our day where we don't need to rush from point A to B.

Of course, this applies to our minds more than anything! Thoughts are rushing through our minds, we are constantly thinking about what we did do, what we didn’t do, what we have yet to do, etc. In order for this to settle down we need to practice stillness.

As easy as it may seem to practice stillness, the difficulty stems from the sheer effort it takes to simply remember to do so. In other words, being still is not the hard part — it is the effort we have to take to remember this stillness that proves tricky.

Here I share three steps which can help you achieve stillness, embrace it, and ultimately increase and deepen it as part of your daily routine.

Not only does it creep out onlookers to see you sitting in front of a wall, gazing into its scuffed-marked abyss like a zoned out weirdo, but it will also slow down your thoughts and make it easier to catch a glimpse of your bliss. Win-win. Closed-eye meditation: relaxing, but often results in getting lost in a train of thought, and not getting off that train until the timer beeps or the gongs sound. Or taking an accidental nap... My favorite way to meditate is to light a candle and focus on the flame. Eyes open, gaze locked on the trippy, dancing fire. Which do you prefer, open- or closed-eye meditation? Share share share!

Psychological freedom is sometimes seen only in glimpses or flashes. Suddenly some life event or an insight empties our past emotional content, and anchors our mind into the present.
⠀⠀
In such a state there is no movement of thought, yet there is an immense potential power to be experienced. Power, which is not control but, the realization that control is entirely unnecessary. A feeling that everything is just perfect. Not one thing out of its proper place.
⠀⠀
Such glimpses may not last, because the mind cannot suspend its yearning too long in this world, which is driven by achievement and productivity. Eventually we are thrown back into the daily grind of struggles.
⠀⠀
Yet, however brief these experiences may be, they show us how full of limitations our daily life is. The first step in understanding these limitations is becoming aware that they exist, and sometimes a flash of awareness does the trick.
⠀⠀
Once our eyes have seen it, something in it permanently changes. It can never turn back. It has subconsciously begun its search for freedom.

I've been a foster parent to these once homeless puppies and the mama dog since their eyes were still shut up until they were 10 weeks old. 💜 When they were only five days old some neighborhood kids found them at a construction site while their mother went looking for food and took them away for several days while the mama dog was anxiously looking for her babies. Eventually the kids agreed to return the puppies to their mother and once reunited they family got rescued by an amazing rescue organization #HopeForPawsRescue where I volenteered by offering home to them which ended up being an amazing adventure! 🤗  Today I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to be of service and for the beautiful puppy girl that I ended up adopting. I'm profoundly grateful for all my friends who assisted me on this profound journey 💙💛🧡 ..
