~ Helado de banana ~ .
Con tan solo 2 ingredientes puedes hacer un helado delicioso!

Ingredientes: 3 o 4 plátanos congelados previamente 12 horas o más ✨ 1/8 cdta de polvo de vainilla o 1/4 cdta extracto de vainilla .
Solo tienes que procesar los plátanos junto con la vainilla. Si tienes una batidora de alta velocidad (como una vitamix) es más sencillo, si no tienes, necesitas un poco de paciencia! Puede que tengas que mezclar, abrir la tapa, raspar con una espátula los costados y volver a procesar un par de veces hasta que quede la consistencia de helado. O bien puedes añadir un poco de leche vegetal para facilitar el proceso.

Añade los toppings que te apetezcan! Plátanos, bolitas de pitaya o fruta del dragón, arándanos y listo para disfrutar!

Here’s the other dish we made this week.
Zucchini spirals🤤

I make a Basil ‘ricotta’ cheese and this time I used soaked cashews versus soaked almonds. Spiraled the zucchini noodles and let them sit over night in the fridge with a towel over them. It dries them out. Mix in the ricotta cheese and we add finely chopped veggies. So far our favorite veggie blend has been:
Arugula, mushroom, radish, red bell pepper, peas and red onion.

I LOVE the long noodles and separate them from all those short wispy pieces. Once the long noodles are coated and the veggie mix added in, I use a 2 prong fork and start twisting the fork in the bowl. Pouring some spaghetti sauce on the bottom then line them up.
With the wispy pieces I mix them all together and squish them into a ball form. Half of the ball forms have carrots and the other half sweet potato {seeing which we might like better}.
Bake till done and serve😍

Didn’t get a plated picture, yet. I like to add some fresh sauce to the plate and put two our three sections on top the sauce.
Since we’ll be having more of this today I’ll captured a plated version to share later.

This is a remix of the zucchini rolls and personally my favorite way to make this ‘lasagna’ recipe now.

When I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis I had a bunch of doctors trying to shove prescription drugs at me. (All of which contained some sort of dairy and/or artificial colors 🤷🏽‍♀️🤔-as if THATS going to help my situation)
Not one of them offering me a solution to heal. 
One doctor after the next- telling me that this thyroid disease was going to be my reality forever, that this little pill would manage my symptoms and that I would be a slave to it for the rest of my life. 
Now, I don’t know about you but that sounds terrible. 
It also doesn’t make anything better. 
Yea maybe it’ll help the symptoms for now but not addressing the root cause is dangerous. 
Basically saying - here, take this pill and keep on continuing with your current lifestyle as if that isn’t one the main contributors to disease. 🤦🏽‍♀️ So here’s what I did instead. 
I educated myself. 
I stopped relying on doctors for solutions. 
And I read A LOT. 
Some info valid, most not 😑

But thankfully amongst all the literature, I found an answer. (@medicalmedium )
And I changed just like that. 
I decided I didn’t want to be a sick person anymore. 
I stopped wasting time at doctors appointments and started listening to my body. 
I rested A LOT. (I used to be bedridden😞)
I switched to a mostly raw plant based diet with lots of healing juices, herbal supplements, fruit smoothies and warm cooked veggie dinners. 
Healing isn’t going to happen over night. 
It takes time. 
Sure, taking a pill is MUCH easier than dealing with detox symptoms 😰
But honestly, I’d rather go through two years of detoxing then to take a pill only to let my thyroid get worse and worse over time because I wasn’t proactive about getting it better. 
Prescription pills do not heal. 
Food is medicine. 
Let’s start treating it as such. 
Ps. All my thyroid numbers are back in normal range now thanks to lots of fruits, veggies, and a little seeds, nuts and herbal supplements. 
AND I am able to exercise again(I’ve lost 40lbs) and no more chronic migraines!🎉🙌🏽
I am a year and 9 months into healing and It feels so good to be the one who decided to do something about their diagnosis.

First let me say I tried to steam my potatoes in the instapot for 4 mins. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Wrong setting BUT the large red potatoes I used survived just fine and ONE sweet potato slice survived as well. The rest of the sweet potatoes I turned into a mash.😜

I baked the surviving potato slices {they were approx 1/4” thick} until they crisped up , then I cooled them down.
.
Before making these for the fambam I sampled the two versions {sweet & red} The sweet potato added so much flavor 🤤
.
Here’s the final product they enjoyed:
Red potato
Mashed sweet potato
Guacamole
Chopped spinach with leafy green lettuce
My sons Sautéd spicy salsa
Garlic cashew cream
Topped with fresh chives

It’s important to expose our little ones to an array of different flavors. Not only to prevent picky eaters later on, but also because a lot of those flavors have powerful health benefits behind them! Here’s a few suggestions on herbs and spices we can use while cooking for our kids that are actually good for them: 
1. Cinnamon: I like to use cinnamon in the mornings. I steam an apple, cook some rolled oats, and blend it all in the food processor with a teaspoon of cinnamon. Just make sure to get the ceylon kind and not the cassia which is considered true cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon lowers blood sugar levels and has an anti diabetic effect by improving insulin sensitivity. It also helps fight inflammation and has potent antioxidant activity. 
2. Turmeric: I love using turmeric on chicken stews when cooking at home. Just a pinch gives an amazing aroma and flavor. This amazing spice is great for lowering inflammation, reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s, fights heart disease, and cancer. 
3. Sage: I usually use sage in chicken soups or with a buttery sauce on pasta. Sage is known for improving brain function and memory. 
4. Basil: You can pretty much top any food of with fresh basil, pastas, chicken, fish, its delicious and very lightly aromatic. Basil inhibits the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold. Its also great for relieving anxiety and stress. 
5. Rosemary: i love using it on turkey, chicken soup, or chicken roasts. Rosemary is known for preventing allergies and nasal congestion. 
6. Garlic: i add garlic to literally everything i cook! Garlic is known for combatting the common cold, lowers bad cholesterol, reduces high blood pressure, has beneficial effects on heart health, and combats sickness.

I do have some leftover which I will probably use tomorrow a little complicated recipe.
Ingredients:
1 Zucchini
1 Lemon
1 Large Ripe Avocado
Basil
Everything But The Bagel Sesame Seasoning From Trader Joe’s
1/2 Cup Water
Instructions
•Blend all ingredients except the zucchini & seasoning in a blender.
•This dressing is a thicker and creamier type so if that doesn’t appeal to you then I don’t recommend it.
•When blended mix in with the zucchini and add the Everything But The Bagel Sesame Seasoning on top
•Grab a fork & dig in!!

Helllllo rebounder! 👋🏼 I finally bought an inexpensive one to see if I could make it part of my routine, knowing that I’ve cut down a LOT on both walking & yoga (the only exercise I was getting daily prior to a change in office locations, which had a yoga studio across the street & was within a mile of my home). In the first @medicalmedium book, Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal, he talks about rebounding as another way to detox, “Doing this for ten minutes a day will forcefully promote circulation throughout your lymphatic system, and help detoxify your entire body, especially your liver”. 💙 Well, it’s day 1 and I could only bounce gently for 5 minutes. It almost immediately made me dizzy, my back feels weak, and my calves/feet hurt. I’ve got some practice to put in again! 🌀 More to come on this journey. For the last four weeks my stomach had been very irritated as you know. And the other day the stomach was terrible painfull. I haven't feel a pain like that for at least ten years. I asked for help in a MM-group in Facebook and got the information that chamomile tea is the best to drink if you have really hard stomachproblems. The stomach felt a little bit better yesterday but after I had drank the tea it felt even more better and then I drank tea two times more before sleep. Sauté 4 cloves of Garlic & 1 diced Onion in a large pan with 1 Tbsp Of Coconut Oil over medium-high heat for 5-10 minuets, stir as needed.

When the onions are translucent & soft, add in 1 shredded Cabbage, 1/2 Tsp Pink Salt, & 1/2 Cup Water.

Cover & Cook until tender, approximately 30-40 minuets. Stir & add Water as needed.

Conner came home from school today and said, “They served stuffed red peppers for lunch today in the cafeteria and they looked SO good!”. He walked straight to the fridge and grabbed a red pepper, cut it, and stuffed it with raw spinach. Then he started cutting up leftover steamed potatoes and mixing it with marinated leeks and dulse flakes (it tasted like potato salad!). Then he stuffed the potato-leek mixture into the pepper and topped with sliced cherry tomatoes & fresh basil. He loved it and said it cured his craving for “stuffed peppers”. Conner is 12.  If he can do this 28-Day Cleanse and prepare some of his own snacks and even juice celery for everyone before going to school in the morning, then anyone can! 🙌 He still won’t clean the juicer, but that is okay. 😉💚

Wednesday morning around 2 AM I got slammed with the flu. It was a rough night to say the least. I spent pretty much 2 full days in bed and could hardly eat or drink anything. Finally today, I was able to get up a bit. My achy back from being in bed so long desperately needed some stretching. This very short flow helped me stretch, helped my lymph system move (which moves toxins out, including viruses), and the gentle twisting helped to increase blood flow to the spleen, fight against infection and cleanse the blood. Yes please!

My yoga session was brief, but I coupled it with reiki and it was beautiful. It helped me to ground and I asked God to recycle the negative energy and turn it to good. I believe that is happening. I looked within to ask why I got sick. ⚡️Overwhelm!⚡️ I've got a lot happening in life at the moment. Lots of changes and I guess it got the best of me. -

Also, today I was able to handle smells. (You know you've got it bad when the smell of your morning coffee literally makes you 🤢! Sad!) So I made a plant based healing broth that's high in minerals and all kinds of healing nutrients. I've been sipping on it all day. The recipe is from Anthony William @medicalmedium. 2️⃣ Minimize body care products. I use only 2-3 products on her, a shampoo about once a month, a butt cream and moisturizer as needed. I’m also very careful about what I put on my body, because it will rub off on her.

3️⃣ Avoid pajamas with flame retardants. Unless it says they don’t have flame retardants, assume they do.

Con tan solo 2 ingredientes puedes hacer un helado delicioso!

Ingredientes: 3 o 4 plátanos congelados previamente 12 horas o más ✨ 1/8 cdta de polvo de vainilla o 1/4 cdta extracto de vainilla .
Solo tienes que procesar los plátanos junto con la vainilla. Si tienes una batidora de alta velocidad (como una vitamix) es más sencillo, si no tienes, necesitas un poco de paciencia! Puede que tengas que mezclar, abrir la tapa, raspar con una espátula los costados y volver a procesar un par de veces hasta que quede la consistencia de helado. O bien puedes añadir un poco de leche vegetal para facilitar el proceso.

Añade los toppings que te apetezcan! Plátanos, bolitas de pitaya o fruta del dragón, arándanos y listo para disfrutar!

Have to share.... I went TWO YEARS without caffeine. And during those two years I never had a migraine. (And before those two years I had them at least once a month and often lasting a week or more.) Last cycle I had a lot going on - extra work and just crazy busy. So... I indulged in a little coffee in some homemade almond milk. Whipped up some mashed purple sweet potatoes with garlic, onion and pepper.
Salad with butter lettuce, tomato,mushrooms, sunflower sprouts and cucumber.
Dressing is onion, garlic, tomato, parsley, cilantro, lemon juice and Dulse flakes!

The last two weeks have been a struggle! I was working a lot, not eating enough, not hydrating enough , eating too much fat, and was noticing my immune system was weakening because of it! I  was getting overwhelmed because I feel I have so much drive and determination to get projects done around the house, getting my meal prep business off the ground and still working lots of hours my regular job! I was neglecting my health and beating myself up because I am not Superwoman and cannot put 100% of my attention in all of these avenues!

I had a serious self-care day today 💞 starting with a session with Dr. Cari at Be Optimal and then laying on the BEMER Mat. Then I headed over to the Chicago Stress Relief Center for a float + an amazing massage with Sandi. I was happily eating lots of cleanse food in between sessions, but I was so ready for something warm to eat when I got home. I needed a quick but “real meal”, so I threw the fresh potatoes we got in our CSA box into the Instant Pot for 5 minutes to cook...followed by brussels sprouts for one minute. Then I prepared a raw marinara in the Vitamix and also a no-oil/no-vinegar salad dressing with lemon juice, lime juice, cucumber, dates + spices. I poured the dressing over a simple mixed greens salad with sliced radish & marinated red onions that were ready in the fridge. So simple & delish!  This was my first time cooking brussels sprouts in the Instant Pot and we were surprised how good they are plain without any oil or being crisped up! I mixed them with the potatoes and topped with fresh basil, parsley, and kale microgreens...then poured marinara all over. ❤️

Here are some things that help me every day. I thought I’d share...
.
1. Don’t give up. Persist: We don’t all heal the same and healing doesn’t go in a perfectly straight line! There are lots of twists and turns involved. Keep your faith that your body knows what it’s doing and press forward despite appearances.
2. Keep it simple: Make your meals as simple as possible such as half a melon for breakfast or a simple salad for dinner. Dressing can be as simple as squeezing lemon on your salad with some spices.
3. Prepare ahead of time: Chop up veggies and store in a glass container until ready. Make juices for the next day. Make a list of what you need for the week; only buy that and stick to your plan.
4. Prepare your own food: Limit going out for your food. Only you know what’s exactly in your food.
5. Focus in on one protocol at a time: Stop “protocol shopping” and focus on one healing modality at a time. Focus on your goal and work on that.
6. Travel with your protocol: Going on a trip whether it’s for business or pleasure doesn’t give you the green light to eat whatever you want. It may be fun to eat a “cheat” food in the moment, but not fun in the long run. Stick to the plan always.

Love him!!! He never complains!! Today for lunch we had a salad with heavy metal detox smoothie💜 we always talk about the importance of food and how far we have come as a team! Him being a two time cancer survivor and me with a myriad of issues namely lupus! When his cancer came back i started researching and found @medicalmedium and we've never looked back!!! If i told you that this lifestyle change will be easy then im doing you a great disservice by lying!! It will be hard and you will have to push yourself through it!!! Just remember that if you stick with it you will see results and you will feel better. Healing takes time and it's a few steps forward and a few backwards. Anything worth having almost never comes easy and that includes good health!! For the past 19 months, I have been healing from chronic Epstein Barr Virus and Strep Virus with the help of @medicalmedium.

Physically, I’ve healed from many EBV related symptoms including (but not limited to) panic attacks, acute anxiety, digestive issues, chronic insomnia, parasites, nervous system challenges, adrenal issues, stomach pain, acid reflux, rapid elimination, tingles-numbness, burning mouth syndrome, poor circulation, hair loss, and so many more.

Las mini burger las hago a ojo, porque son super fáciles! Llevan quinoa cocida + cebolla picada + zanahoria rallada + pimiento rojo + harina de garbanzos + orégano + sal + pimienta + agua + aceite .
Cocinas la quinoa. La dejas enfriar a temperatura ambiente. Le agregas las verduras, las especias, sal y pimienta. Mezclas. Para armar las hamburguesas vas agregando una pasta de harina de garbanzos mezclada con muy poca agua, para que ligue y poder darle la forma. Puedes cocinarlas al horno, a la plancha o en la sartén. Listo!

🤤🤤Spinach soup🤤🤤
@annefiascone Recently made a post about switching up the spinach soup for a savory smoothie which I thought would be perfect for my kids. This wasn’t their savory soup though, it was MINE...😁

I didn’t have oranges so I used two lemons instead. Also I don’t have a @vitamix yet so my ninja blender does it’s best but I tell ya I can hardly wait to get my hands on one of those bad boys! I do hop over to my xSIL’s house occasionally and use hers😍 Thanks @lyoungforever1 and

So here’s the breakdown of what was in my soup last night:
Celery, grape tomatoes, extra garlic, basil leaves, spinach.
On top I added fresh salsa we made last night which has roasted poblano peppers, roasted jalapeño pepper, Roma toms, garlic power, onion powder and a couple punches of salt. {The salsa sunk in the soup but it’s in the very center under the garlic, cilantro and dulse flakes}.
I added diced Roma toms and marinated mushrooms.

Now I LOVE mango in my spinach soup. To me it takes this dish over the top with its sweet and savory flavor. I added it AFTER the photo since I waited till after the pic to taste me creation.
The blended mango was extraordinary with this combo of salsa and the mushrooms.

Ever have something so delicious you want to immediately have it again? Yeah that’s how spinach soup is for me😂

Which is totally funny is I hadn’t had this until just a couple weeks ago when I tried it for the first time. I mean seriously spinach soup?🤢is what I was thinking yet the #medicalmedium knew what he was doing when he put it in his Thryoid Healing book.😍

I’m a recipe adaptor and this version is BY FAR my favorite recipe!! The spicy salsa and the cool sweet mango were perfect. The mushrooms and tomatoes give you something to chew {because we should chew our smoothies too}.

I also had a side of steamed broccoli, which I love. It was a bit filling but I was so satisfied after I felt great!

Perfect way to end the evening with a belly full of greens😍

WAS a badass athlete, now I’m a diff kind of badass🤷🏼‍♀️
Been a while, being this honest and real this publicly is hard. After the weekend I had, barely able to move from bed I felt I should jump back on here. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs over the last months. Being on protocol then off for a night of fun, weeks of raw, then a hotdog?!... Even a solo trip to meditate in Mexico😲. Last weekend: It was after a very healthy week and no drinks, You just never know. I believe it was weather change. Thankfully I had Monday off, Tues came way too fast and back to work I go, as a zombie coming off migraine meds. Have to put on the happy face and chat with people as if you don’t have firey pain running through your heels and sharp pains shooting from your neck down your arms, occasional nausea where you get chills and debate stopping your client cause you might shart😝 Constantly concerned for little waves of head pain as the migraine could creep back in. I obvi have MANY good, less pain days💃🙌🏻 The last few weeks I’ve had a few clients same age as me, on wild goose chases through doctors trying to find reason for chronic and random pains. It’s saddening me how much Auto immune and mystery illness is growing, mostly women about my age, during hormone changes. Diet is the only thing that’s helped me ish, and some holistic practices. I have many bumps in the road and still have my fair share of fun that I sometimes pay for but I want to help. If you have anyone going through this please show them my post so they know they aren’t alone. I have people talk to me and after say they feel a weight lifted because they were starting to think they were crazy. Selfishly it helps weight lift from me too and I seem to stay optimistic when in contact with other sufferers/warriors. Anyone can power through pains but the pains get worse if you let your mind get weak. I catch myself with a tude or more short on days I feel crappy. It’s no excuse but know that you never know what someone is battling. Feel free to send anyone you think of my way. Just little texts go a long way when you have invisible illness!

I believe this contributed massively to my anxiety during and after. Also the pregnancy and probably the meds are what have caused further issues. Back to my morning #juicing routine and loving it. As much as I adore the #medicalmedium and all he preaches about drinking straight celery juice first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with its countless #healthbenefits some mornings I just can't stomach it. Back to my morning #juicing  routine and loving it. As much as I adore the #medicalmedium  and all he preaches about drinking straight celery juice first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with its countless #healthbenefits  some mornings I just can't stomach it. Is it a pancake/ crepe? Nope it is @cocobynuco cinnamon coconutwrap. This time I didn't slice up the banana but just rolled it up in the wrap together with some spinach and a little coconutsugar. Só good!🤗 More banana, clementines and a date. Very delicious and satisfying. These wraps will also be very good if you want to eat healthy but have trouble at lets say a birthday partynwhen everyone is having cake. Because these are dehydrated they will keep forever and ever and you can wrap anything you want in them and there you have it, your own special treat!🤗
