Post workout meal. 5 raw eggs, some raw beef liver and beef heart. 
My goal with food is to make it less palatable so I don't over indulge.  I'm the type of person that can pile it in faster than my body can regulate if I find it enjoyable. Cooked meat and eggs are very enjoyable to me 🤤

The food poisoning turned out to be a stomach virus, it was hard to eat anything so I resorted to pretzels and rice. After two days of that my stomach bloated up. I put on a total of 4 lbs which is now slowly coming off. Slowly getting back into the gym, lighter weights with higher reps and giving my body a deload week until I’m 100%. I’m back to my regular diet and my energy level is getting better.  Carnivore or keto or whatever diet you follow, I highly suggest getting tested for food allergies or looking up FODMAP DIET. Bacon wrapped air fried sirloin with 5 dippy eggs. This is just what I needed after a 16 hour fast. I give everyone who fast longer than that a lot of credit because it’s tough sometimes lol. This will be the fuel for my upcoming workout. Yoga has me feeling pretty sore today so this will do some healing for me! You cant go wrong with bacon wrapped anything!!!

Pre 1977 we were all pretty much on a low carb diet. Real food, some sugar and carbohydrates and NO VEGETABLE OILS. Once the guidelines told us to cut saturated fat out of the diet, and it was replaced with vegetable oils and carbs our problems started. .
So eating healthy fats again like animal, coconut, olive and avocado fats as well as animal protein is a great way to heal and get your health back.

Been having some really frustrating delayed stomach emptying issues this week that have wreaked a bit of havoc. What used to digest in 4 hours is suddenly taking 6-8. What used to work for my insulin timing and dose is suddenly WRONG. Bah... It is what it is and I will adjust and adapt, but it's definitely been a "fuck you, diabetes" sort of week. Although it's more a "fuck you,stomach" since it's not exactly the diabetes that's not playing nice. *Le sigh* Onward and upward, my friends.

While I was in Florida I kinda went away from my strict carnivore, and had some Keto friendly foods, not much at all, but even adding some I felt a difference in my body, after I’ve been experimenting back and fourth with Carnivore & Keto I just feel my best with the closest to zero I can get my daily carb intake. The truth hurts!
I’m not going to lie to you, if I had enough money to sustain my minimalist life for the next 50 years I would vanish from social media. The truth is, it’s not for me. My life for a while has been a relationship with a phone. I have to constantly check my devices and go against the core of who I “really” am and to engage. 
So why am I doing this?
Well, I tired of fake! Unreal. Social media has become a huge protagonist of fake and quite frankly BULL SHIT.
So if I can keep it real and inspire people who appreciate real then I’m going to stick around.
So with the above in mind, allow me to tell you a little more about who I am.
I’m not a vegan. I love meat and if the cut is fresh, I prefer it raw. I don’t hide behind a label and I if I want to do something good, I just do it! I do what I can.
I don’t profess to be a “good” person.
I’m me! That’s it, nothing more, nothing less. I have a conscious and act accordingly.
I believe in reality, and not bogus utopian outlook. There is a huge possibility that I’m one of the most flawed individuals you would meet in person. Trust me, if we ever do, I am feeling incredibly awkward, and quite frankly I prefer to keep to myself. Don’t take it personally, I have to do that every morning when I wake up from a half baked sleep and deal with myself. So then why, am I here on social media and sticking around again. Well, I’m somehow making a difference and inspiring. And you know what, money can’t buy that! To inspire! So I will stick around and promote keeping it real! The truth hurts! I’m not going to lie to you, if I had enough money to sustain my minimalist life for the next 50 years I would vanish from social media. The truth is, it’s not for me. My life for a while has been a relationship with a phone. I have to constantly check my devices and go against the core of who I “really” am and to engage. So why am I doing this? Well, I tired of fake! Unreal. Social media has become a huge protagonist of fake and quite frankly BULL SHIT. So if I can keep it real and inspire people who appreciate real then I’m going to stick around. So with the above in mind, allow me to tell you a little more about who I am. I’m not a vegan. I love meat and if the cut is fresh, I prefer it raw. I don’t hide behind a label and I if I want to do something good, I just do it! I do what I can. I don’t profess to be a “good” person. I’m me! That’s it, nothing more, nothing less. I have a conscious and act accordingly. I believe in reality, and not bogus utopian outlook. There is a huge possibility that I’m one of the most flawed individuals you would meet in person. Trust me, if we ever do, I am feeling incredibly awkward, and quite frankly I prefer to keep to myself. Don’t take it personally, I have to do that every morning when I wake up from a half baked sleep and deal with myself. So then why, am I here on social media and sticking around again. Usually we let the dogs out to run free in the yard during the night but yesterday and today we scheduled pest control service so we thought it would be safer to keep the dogs in the house for a couple of days. And they were howling all night long. I woke up exhausted and had a hard time dragging myself around all morning. For lunch I had bacon and beef chuck steak. Physically I was full and satisfied but I was just so tired even my bones felt soft. I was gonna have eggs for dinner but my body clearly said 'no, I'm dying if you don't feed me steak and bacon!' So I went back to eat steak and bacon, with half stick of butter, two hours later. The moment I put my fork down my life suddenly came back to me! It worked like a charm! I could function again! Skincare has always been a big part of my adult life; too bad I neglected the inside for so many years and failed to realize the two go together like olives and avocado. However, now I know, and that is the key.

It is not a secret that what we put into our bodies affects the outside of our bodies. As I am aging, I want to DO everything possible to slow the process down; both inside and out! Like many of you, I use creams to reduce the inflammation under my eyes and neck...GRRR! Below I am going to give you a list of foods that will help heal your skin and health.

There are great anti-inflammatory properties of Omega-3's from seafood and have been found to improve acne symptoms and betty yet-improve mental health. Grab some crab, lobster, and salmon, and watch your clarity improve.

As I mentioned in my previous post, nuts such as almonds and walnuts are terrific in locking moisture into our skin. I have extremely dry skin, and as such, sadly, my skin will age faster.

Healthy fats like those found in olive oil and avocado oils can protect your skin from harmful UV rays. By cooking with generous amounts of olive and avocado oil, you could be preventing wrinkles and aging from sun damage.

Execution was little different with slicing the bacon in pieces, then I fried that first to access that savory fat to brown them sausages. After that, I just fried 2 eggs in the bacon fat and plated. 
But the fresh new twist was a taste of nostalgia. If you know me, you know how I grew up having ketchup with my eggs. Lots and lots of ketchup. My brother's and sisters (and Papi) would ask if I wanted eggs with my ketchup. As you can see, I didn't go over board here with a couple tbsp and it was well worth the 2 carbs. 
The sweetness was perfect with that salty, fatty bacon and sausage mix. I got mine at my local Ralph's. (Kroger's)

This one is a keeper and many thanks to @ghughessugarfree for this great addition to the #ketomexchef arsenal of flavor.

It's deadlift day! Worked up to 100kg for singles, then more volume work with 80kg for 10 reps for a few sets. That was the entire workout 😊 Left the gym feeling energised! Sometimes, simplicity is best, and don't fall for the lie that you have to run yourself into the ground and kill yourself in the gym. Sure, I am always training to improve past my current limit, but that doesn't mean depleting myself everyday. This has been a major shift for me that I made 2 years ago, that I would aim to leave to gym *energised* not exhausted. Its also been key in how I manage my energy with autoimmunity 💚🗝️ It comes down to why you exercise, what it means to you, and your relationship with yourself. Are you exercising as a punishment? Is it a chore?

If you exercise out of a LOVE for your body, knowing it does you a world of good, including the immediate benefits of uplifted mood and energy, it can change it from a chore to a GIFT. I like to think of movement as giving my body a hug every time 😊🤗 And I know I never regret a movement session, and training enhances my life through energising me and making me stronger physically and mentally. I haven't always had the best relationship to exercise, but reframing it in my mind has helped heal it and consequently gain even more benefit.

We are encouraged to maintain a healthy weight but for some people who have insulin resistance this is impossible if they eat a high carbohydrate 'nutritionist advised' diet.

Pick something you want to improve.  Master it and integrate it into your life.  Okay, then pick a second thing and integrate that. Pretty soon you won't have to work on it and it'll feel natural.  In a year or so you will be able to look back and see the progress you've made.
