I feel like we're on repeat lately however why ruin a good thing when it's being requested - 
Sunday: Roast beef & veges
Monday: Bean tacos
Tuesday: Spaghetti (leftover from last week with fresh pasta)
Wednesday: Crumbed chicken (I always add parmesan and parsley however after having this out recently I'll add sweet paprika this week - yum!)
Thursday: Sweet potato & lentil burgers
Friday: Slow cooked Chicken salad

This week we were sent a selection of 4 pies from Award Winning Pie Man Tom Cull. 🥧 
Since the company started almost 10 years ago Tom’s Pies have won a slew of awards including Great Taste 2017, Gold in the British Pie Awards 2017 and Taste the West Gold in 2017. 🥧 
What makes these pies different lies in the  ingredients and production, with the boxes proudly stating “Tom hand makes these delicious pies using only the finest ingredients” - and it shows too, there’s no gloopy, gluey thick gravy inside the soft, toothsome pastry. 🥧 
First up was the Steak & Ale which has wonderful large chunks of beef, this was balanced beautifully with the malty, boozy ale. This pie was the hands-down winner with the family. .
Next, the Lamb, Chickpea and Chorizo - a unique combination that I haven’t come across before as far as pies are concerned. There was a wonderful hint of smokiness from the chorizo, though from a personal point of view I would have loved some big chunks of the Mediterranean’s favourite sausage to bite into. .
The Chicken, Leek and Ham Hock was another winner with the family. The chicken was tender, the ham hock sweet, with generous helpings of both. The pastry was fragrant with herbs, in fact the kids are lucky they got to try any at all!

Finally, the Mushroom and Spinach with White Truffle Oil. An excellent choice for the vegetarian in your life, or for Meat-free Mondays. The headiness of the White truffle oil greets you as soon as you cut into the pie. The spinach was rich with a metallic tang, balanced well against the earthy mushrooms. 🥧

🥒 Zucchini Slice 🥒 I make this for different options during the week - whether it be for lunch with a salad, dinner with some veggies or just as a snack. Cut into squares and freeze for later or keep in the fridge 👍
- 2x zucchini’s grated 🥒
- 5 eggs lightly beaten 🥚
- 1 cup of light grated cheese 🧀
- 1 cup of SR flour 🍚
- Season with salt / pepper - Bake at 170 degrees for 30-40 minutes - Add corn, ham or other veg as you please !

Popped into @ilovecherryreds for the breakfast of champions ! ‘The hearty vegan’, Complete with a Linda, deep fried tofu (not massively keen on) 2 hash browns (I added the second😋) mushrooms, spinach, beans, tomatoes & finally 2 slices of toast (with a vegan spread!!)🤤🤤 washed it down with a milkshake which deserves a whole other post😻 also swipe to check out all the other options they have, cannot wait to try the battered Linda’s 🤭🤭

ICE CREAM DINNER.
Our favourite fast food, as in quick to make, “Meat Free Monday” (on a Friday) dinners is ice cream. 
I can’t tell you how handy this meal was when the kids & I were on GAPS & I was feeling rotten.
With this I can get my son eating fruit & my daughter eating avocado... happily 👏👏👏. Before school pick up I poured a big tin of @ayamaustralia coconut cream & 2 avocados into a tray and popped in freezer... once ready for dinner I blitzed that with cashews, walnuts, hemp seeds, MCT oil, coconut water, collagen powder, frozen mango & frozen raspberries (I stock up on organic ones when on special), baby spinach, spinach from our garden and at the end of blitzing I added a few big scoops of @kulturedwellness coconut yoghurt & then we topped with pepitas, coconut, goji berries & cacao nibs and then I let the kids loose with our new @123nourishme MAGIC SPRINKLES. I love 123’s balms & suncream but had never tried these before... basically it’s a shaker filled with organic superfoods. Great for fussy eaters or kids who need an extra nutrition boost... or like my kids to just add some fun to a Friday nights dinner.  Food can feel special & be “a treat” without it being filled with sugar or a chemical 💩 storm. For us, this is how we party!
Kids loved the taste of the Sprinkles. They naturally they loved the Monkey #monkeyobsessed #curiousgeorgesbff & I loved the cute packaging... oh... did I forget to mention I designed this bad boy... well technically I brought the 123 Monkey out of retirement but I gave him a @bigpinkhair.designstudio makeover 👌

If you haven’t done ice cream for dinner yet get on board. You’ve never seen kids eating so quickly and line up for seconds & you can hide anything in there... Next I’m going to try steamed and frozen cauliflower 🤫

We ate this happily & finally watched Paddington 2. What a great little movie & Hugh Grant was 🙌

I absolutely love trying new food products and this chickpea pasta is going to become a regular occurance! I found it at my local grocer it was around $5-$6. I felt like a warm and nourishing meal last night so in one pot I added a jar of Barilla Nepolitana pasta sauce and of course, stirred through 5 different veg (for 2 people I used, 1 capsicum, 1 zucchini, 1 carrot, 1 bunch of broccolini and 1 cup of button mushrooms.) While the sauce was doing its thing, I boiled the chickpea pasta - done in 6 minutes!!!! Strained it and added it into the sauce.

Topped it off with all the parmesan, salt and pepper and there I had a nourishing 10 minute meal. I even had leftovers for lunch the next day 😍 Cheap and filling meals high in protein and fibre do not have to be expensive 💸💸 or time consuming ⏲ 
Last day of National Nutrition Week and I hope everyone is veggied-out 🤗 .

I absolutely love trying new food products and this chickpea pasta is going to become a regular occurance! I found it at my local grocer it was around $5-$6. I felt like a warm and nourishing meal last night so in one pot I added a jar of Barilla Nepolitana pasta sauce and of course, stirred through 5 different veg (for 2 people I used, 1 capsicum, 1 zucchini, 1 carrot, 1 bunch of broccolini and 1 cup of button mushrooms.) While the sauce was doing its thing, I boiled the chickpea pasta - done in 6 minutes!!!! Strained it and added it into the sauce. Topped it off with all the parmesan, salt and pepper and there I had a nourishing 10 minute meal. @madeleine_shaw_ ・・・ Here is tonights recipe: ↠INGREDIENTS
1 white onion, diced
1 tbsp of olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 tsp of sage leaves
1 can of coconut milk
400ml of veggie stock
150g of edamame
400g of mushrooms, sliced 
175g of risotto rice
chilli flakes
salt and pepper ↠ DIRECTIONS
Place a large pot on a medium heat. Add the oil and onion and sauté for 5 mins, add in the half the mushrooms, garlic and sage. Sauté for another 5 mins. Pour over the rice, milk and stock, bring to the boil then simmer until the liquid is all absorbed and the rice is cooked through. You will need to stay near by stirring constantly so it doesn't stick to the bottom. Season with salt and leave to the side, lid on. Heat a frying pan with a little olive oil and fry off the mushrooms with some sea salt for 5 mins until golden brown. Serve together with some chilli flakes.

(AD) Spag Bol is always a family favourite and I know most of us have fond childhood memories of eating it as a main meal. In a bid to reduce how much meat we eat, we have started swapping the mince for mushrooms. 
Mushrooms have a really meaty texture and we cut them and shred them and use a few different types of mushrooms to make this a really special twist on a classic. You can still use your favourite recipe, just swap the meat for mushrooms! 
One thing that is a must in a bolognese for us is oregano. It adds so much flavour and pairs beautifully with the mushrooms and tomatoes in this dish. We always have some @schwartz.uk oregano in our cupboard and now they have made things even easier with their jar re-design. You can easily stack them in your cupboards, which is good when you have limited space and you can easily fit a tsp in them now too. Also, the new freshness seal means the product will stay fresher for longer - less waste is good with us!
