From Beach Project and living in Panama City Beach to vacationing in Hawaii each year.... our friendship reminds me of when Paul says he knows what it’s like to have little (roaches at the Spyglass) and I know what it’s like to have plenty (thanks Plexus)❤️ I am so thankful the Lord saw fit for us to walk so many seasons of life together. How generous is God to allow me to call you friend for 1/2 our life. Happy Birthday @lindseyrussell1 ❤️💛💚 #carteechaos#foreverfriends#alphagammadelta#gammasigma#maui#hawaii

How excited I am 😁! It's been lots of walking and climbing stairs. Day 2 was 10.6 miles, 27,232 steps and 32 floors. Kyoto has very interesting history, city with old and new culture.
Never worn so many leggings on a vacation in my life...but they are so adorable & comfy 🙌 I am posting now from the Chicago airport because when I get home my arms and hands will be full of animals and my baby girl 👧🏼 Shop my favorite leggings plus I found some on major sale!! http://liketk.it/2xswS #liketkit @liketoknow.it #LTKunder100#LTKunder50#LTKstyletip#LTKsalealert#LTKshoecrush#LTKfit
“Have A Vegan Day! Each day you save: 1100 gallons of water, 40 lbs of grain, 30 sq ft of forest, 20 lbs of CO2, and 1 animal life”
These shirts are great! We got them at #veganfaire in Anaheim. I was really drawn to these particular shirts since I felt they would resonate with a larger amount of people. It communicates statistics that discuss environmental and animal impacts in a very attainable way (have a vegan DAY). Those numbers are just from ONE day and ONE person. •
I have heard a lot of people recently say, “I don’t think I could ever go vegan.” That’s where most vegans start though. Igor (my partner) grew up in a Filipino family that was heavily meat based, but after learning more about the factory farming industry and the impacts on our world and his health, he couldn’t turn away anymore, and made the transition overnight. We went to a Climate Change forum the other night and, once again, animal agriculture and factory farming were not even brought up. I was a bit disappointed walking out of there since Animal agriculture has a huge negative impact on our environment (especially the methane production from the dairy and beef cattle). There’s a lot of focus of CO2 emissions but Methane is more than 20 times as effective as CO2 at trapping heat in the atmosphere. This is often avoided in conversation because people don’t want to give up the taste of meat or dairy. But is our taste worth more than that innocent beings life? Or the life of our beautiful planet? This is just something to consider as you go into the week! And if you’re already vegan, get yourself one of these shirts! It’s a great conversation starter! I hope everyone has a fantastic week and I’ll talk to you next weekend from the NYC #vegfest 😍 Let’s help heal our Mother Earth! It’s not too late. 🌿🌞💕
I’ve been studying about the specific benefits of these powerful foods called ADAPTOGENS - naturally occurring nontoxic substances that protect your body from stress by stabilizing and optimizing it’s physiological functions. #ashwagandha in particular is used for improved thinking ability, decreasing pain and swelling (inflammation) and overall immunity just to name a few. When used over a period of time it aids in promoting sleep. I’m trying it for 30 days to test its cumulative effect and after 1 week of daily use already seeing its benefits. Who wants to join me to try this powerful superfood? Sugar Beach and Keālia Pond in Kīhei, Maui — beautiful view of the ocean as you walk along the boardwalk 🌊🌿
In the Wildlife Refuge, you’ll see Native (& endangered!) wetland birds: “Ae’o” (Hawaiian Stilt) and ‘alae ke’oke’o (Hawaiian Coot). You’ll see them swim, submerge themselves under water, and even see them in action when they are trying to catch fish! 🐟
The wildlife also helps to protect the Hawaiian Hawksbill Turtles as they nest. There are certain parts of the pond that you can’t enter do to nesting protection reasons, and to also protect a few of Hawaii’s endangered plants 🌱
Thank you Hawaii for being so amazing! Our 1st time and we had the best guides and friends to share it with. When Robin and I had our first walk on the beach after we landed in Waikiki to the beautiful rain forests and snorkeling in Maui it felt like paradise to me. The boys zipped lined while we floated in the water in absolutely perfect temperatures. Grateful for all the beautiful memories, breathtaking views and sunsets, not to mention all the yummy food we ate! #hulapies 😋
Kahakuloa Head (Pu'u Koa'e)
- is located in a very remote area in West Maui (on the island's north shore) near the sleepy village Kahakuloa. The 636-foot (194 m) hill is a scenic landmark, but not many people make it here. The main reason is because the only road that leads here, Kahekili Highway (Route 340) isn't really a “highway.” Many people consider it hazardous and one of the spookiest roads they have ever driven. The road hugs the sea cliffs and is very narrow (often just one lane), with many blind curves and no guard rails. So not many people visit this part of Maui. But if you do, be sure to try Auntie Sandies Banana bread and lilikoi butter.
