Jessup Cellars is excited to be taking part in ‘Arts in April’ at the ENGAGE Art Fair this weekend in Calistoga!
ENGAGE Art Fair: April 7 - 8, hours 12 - 6 pm. The Jessup Cellars Gallery will be there featuring artists Masha Gusova, Dan Ochoa, Jacob Dhein, Vincent Xeus, Beverly Lazor, Michael Dickter, Cynthia Carey and Jylian Gustlina.
Four years ago, a group of inspired Napa Valley artists decided, as a part of the Arts in April events, to create a way to ENGAGE artists and audiences on a level beyond what had come before. The result: ENGAGE Art Fair.
ENGAGE Art Fair is a signature event of Napa Valley Arts in April’s showcase of the arts. The event provides an interactive, sensory experience for guests and an alternative to the traditional booth-style art fair setting.
ENGAGE Art Fair invites you to experience Napa Valley art and culture in this dynamic environment - gallery-booths mixed amongst active artist stations. Engage with amazing artists in this curated exhibition that gives our patrons the rare opportunity to meet, interact with, view the works of, and purchase art from the talented individuals who have created it…in other words, to ENGAGE!
Preview Party - Friday April 6, 2018 6 - 9 pm - A ticketed event
Art Fair - Saturday & Sunday April 7 - 8, 2018 12 - 6pm - Free
The paintings of Moscow-born, Copenhagen-based artist Masha Gusova are not only in dialogue with art history, but also stir conversations within a single painting. See more on HiFructose.com. #MashaGusova#oilpainting#oilonlinen#HiFructose @masha.gusova
Love when Facebook reminds you of something special from the past. This was my second Factory Project in Red Bull Studios. An amazing space, event and artists I still absolutely love. 'Eve' by Masha Gusova (@masha.gusova) currently on view in 'Delusional: Jonathan LeVine's Search for the Next Great Artist' through August 26th
Masha Gusova was born in Moscow in 1987, emigrated to the United Kingdom as a child and is currently based in Copenhagen. In 2013, she completed her Bachelor in History of Art at SOAS, University of London. Her work is inspired by her background in art history, distorting various historical images in order to question our fragile belief systems and challenge our contemporary aesthetic values. From a visual perspective, she is interested in embracing and reconciling the mastery of the past with the innovation of the present. Gusova’s work encourages us to reassess old patterns of thought.
Work details: 'Eve' (2017), oil on canvas, 59 x 32 inches. Email firstname.lastname@example.org regarding availability
