Climbed up to Marion’s Lookout at Cradle Mountain via Wombat Pool today. It was wild, windy, full of wombats, & just plain wicked. 😁I actually felt better on the descent than the ascent, but my back is feeling it now! Huge pain in the middle of my back. Signals I’ve worked damn hard today. 12 kms, 1223 metres elevation & 17949 steps. A mammoth effort! Very proud of myself right now! Shows the level of fitness I’ve gained with the @mypeakchallenge fitness program. Finding My Peak Challenge is the best thing that could have happened to me. It’s reduced my BGL’s & means I have achieved control over my diabetes. No hypo today. Made sure I had some protein nut bars & plenty of water. This Peaker has learnt so many valuable lessons in the past 2 & a half years on the program. My enjoyment of life has gone through the roof. Love my MPC camping & hiking adventures. @samheughan @valbo00 @aussiepeakers #mpc2018#cradlemountain#marionslookout#climbing#wombats#views#craterlake#chain#stepchallenge#rocky#steep#visittasmania#visittasmania2018#hikingwomen#discovertasmania#seeaustralia#earthpix
When the route gets tough, the men gets tougher
First time forced to give up my climb to the summit due to bad weather. But it was an awesome experience to trek on the snow mountain(4degree with wind and rain)

Paladin MHR above the snow line today at lunch on Marions Lookout (1259m), Cradle Mountain , Tasmania .... my hunting gear goes wherever I do these days .... bush walks for me, like todays 9.5km and 450m ascent and descent are simply training opportunities for future pack hunts .... Paladin keeps it real for me, with everything in reach , whenever I need it. #paladin#paladinmhr#cradlemountain#marionslookout#huntfit#wherebluemeetsgreenhunting
Overland Track, Tas Day 1. April 2017 What can I say we were first timers to multi day hiking, 22kg packs, plus my lightweight #nikond750 and AFS 16-35. Cause we were so slow up to Marion’s lookout, by the time we got around the back of #cradlemountain dusk was upon us and the light was well that mystical time of day an hour before sunset. Truth is if we were fast we would have missed this beautiful sunset and these great shots #mynikonlife#nikonaustralia#overlandtrack#marionslookout
