Thanks for coming out to the March for Science - Denver 2018! Wild Connections was excited to be out there and making new local connections. See our upcoming hikes and events at www.wildconnections.org #marchforscience#marchforsciencedenver
I haven’t really gotten political on this account, but today I went to the #marchforscience and it’s important to share what we’re fighting for. It scares me that we currently live in a country where science and facts are politically debated. People like @realdonaldtrump like to ignore these facts for what benefits them and their political agenda. It’s important for people to fact check and ensure that their scientific information comes from peer reviewed sources.
One of the largest current issues with these “alternative facts” used by politicians is the detrimental impact on the environment, as this is an issue that will take many years to resolve and continually grows worse. Trump and his administration have made this issue more problematic than ever, through backing out of things like the Paris Climate Agreement and putting oil and natural magnates in charge of the EPA. Something needs to be done about this and now is the time to speak out!
Just one of our as-full-as-we-could-get-it full cars bringing you #marchforsciencedenver tomorrow! This one has the volunteer shirts from Jim Morris Environmental T-Shirt Co., @eldoradosprings water (thank you for the donation!), a lot of the stuff for our directional signs, and misc. stuff!
See you there! (Ignore the cracking voice, Amy, aka @co.hiker.girl, has sounded like this for days!) #sciencemarcheson#marchforscience#mfsdenver18
