#ArchitecturePhotoSeries : Toronto | August 14, 2018 #StJamesCathedral "Different places, same face”: Everywhere you go you’ll see one of these. Catholicism built before and at the turn of the millennium pivoted and place held their way into history by ensuring that the structures that people of the faith would worship in, would look like this. A mundane repetition that exudes only the best beauty that the gothic aesthetic has to offer. Years later we all walk into these symbolically lit structures and marvel the same way they did back then when they were first created and molded into this particular shape. The symmetrical gestures and the attention to detail in this now pre-designed type of structure has become a part of what we call church, at least for Catholicism and the architectural design in which we associate with it.
