If you’ve not already heard, there’s a really cool campaign @lifebeyondgrades going on right now. Started by the mamas of these little sweeties here (@eleventhour @aarikalee together w @tjinlee and other parents), it’s a movement that is forcing us to re-evaluate our ideas of success, the priorities we place on our children and unlocking a much needed treasure trove of role models who have chosen (grades/schools/exams aside) to excel in the much longer term journey we call life - life with all its messiness, curve balls and glorious complexity #thelonghaul#manypaths
“Fashion is part of the daily air and it changes all the time, with all the events. 🦋 You can even see the approaching of a revolution in clothes. 🌳🌱🌎✌️
You can see and feel everything in clothes.” —Diana Vreeland
We all love to self-express through our clothes.
They might as well look really good, feel really good and be good for the environment. Last longer-wear better - forward and timeless. Fashion.
Design that enhances the body. Not to hide under it.

I believe health is multifaceted, which is why I created #wholedetox to provide people with a menu of options to arrive at wellness. Every change, no matter how small, ripples into the whole of our being...
This captivated my eye 👁 today. My shake cup has never, never done this before after drinking it. I think it’s trying to tell me my future. Where are all my fortune 🔮 tellers? #mystory#goodorbad#manypaths#fortuneteller
Hi, World! This is the first post I made about my story on Facebook, 2 years ago now. I've come a long way since then. I moved to our nation's capital, started a job, and decided to find my own path in recovery rather than following someone else's, all in the past 6 months! This account is a way for me to share my journey and connect with others. I'm excited to see where it goes!

Today is #overdoseawareness day. We’re using today as a reminder that recovery meds decrease risk of overdose. When talking about overdose prevention, including recovery meds like methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone), and naltrexone (Vivitrol) in the conversation is vital. From lack of providers offering these medications to insurance providers requiring pre-authorizations for them to pharmacies refusing to carry them, it’s time to stop the stigma against recovery meds. They’re a vital tool in the fight against the overdose epidemic.
I’ve slowly been integrating acu-yoga (acupressure x yoga) into my practice. Today I’m working with acu-point Conception Vessel 17. The reunion point of all yin meridians. It’s home within the Great Central Channel. In yogic tradition, this is the same as our primary channel of energy, #sushumna nadi. Home channel of our major chakras. Also the channel from which kundalini (life-force) rises upwards. Physically, this is the same path of cerebral spinal fluid, where we want optimal flow!
Prayer pose/ #anjalimudra — seems simple, but there’s a whole lot going on here. One of the many reasons why I love studying various eastern traditions for healing— many paths leading to the same essential truths🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Ps. I’m LOVING this book😍
I have always been a believer that one size does not fit all. Humans are all on different stages of their evolutionary journey and what makes sense, or feels right to one person, doesn't to the next. I believe people choose many “right” paths in life, in order to learn their unique, personal spiritual lessons that are necessary for growth and evolution.
When thinking about pregnancy, labor and birth, I feel personally aligned with the Wise Woman Tradition; for these reasons, I believe that birth is divinely created and does succeed. I believe a woman's body and her baby know the perfect time for labor to begin and when left alone to unfold naturally, it's rare that it needs intervening with. I believe a mother's body is designed to create and sustain life, and that she knows how to birth, and on a deep instinctual level, she knows this. However, indoctrination, cultural influencing, and birth making its way into the hospital, has created a lot of doubt in your average western civilized woman.
Sometimes I find it hard to articulate my thoughts, but taking the time to ponder and write, helps me understand myself better, as well as, communicate better to my birth and postpartum clients. Accepting that we all have different philosophies surrounding birth, gives me more compassion and understanding for one's own choices. I feel it’s important not to judge a woman for choosing something that feels right to her, even if I believe differently.
“All blame is a waste of time. No matter how much fault you find with another, and regardless of how much you blame him, it will not change you. The only thing blame does is to keep the focus off you when you are looking for external reasons to explain your unhappiness or frustration. You may succeed in making another feel guilty about something by blaming him, but you won’t succeed in changing whatever it is about you it’s making you unhappy.
“You are not stuck where you are unless you decide to be.” ~Dr. Wayne Dyer 🙏🏼✨
I used to share lots of quotes on this page.. mostly because I’m a total bookworm.. I LOVE to read, and there have been many times in my life where I felt stuck, sad, lonely or hopeless, then I read something that somebody else wrote that really resonated with me, and it made me feel like.. you know what, there’s somebody else out there who has been through this.. who understands. And it would help me feel stronger and more motivated to take on my own ‘problems’. ☺️👏🏼
I then would want to share that same feeling of motivation and inspiration with others! Look, these words really helped me, or are reflective of something I’m dealing with in my personal life. At the time I may have put more trust in the words of others than my own.. look, this published author said this.. its legit! Lol 😆😂
Not only did it quickly become something people loved to ‘make fun’ of.. oh yeah, girls who share motivational quotes 😏😒 but I started to find my own voice and feel more inspired to freely share my own life, my own words, my own vulnerabilities.. 😌🙏🏼
I am not perfect. Far from it. I often assume you all know that! But jeez maybe I need to remind you all every now and again!! 🤗
Either way, I still love reading words from people I look up to and feeling, like, hell yeH, I’m totally on that vibe right now.. so while I don’t use quotes (other people’s words) for captions as much anymore.. I’m still going to share them every now and again! Ha 😆😉
Silence is Golden • 👁✨
Inside of this Temple, where the self lies, where your body and mind and spirit meet, what would it feel like to be left alone with only you and the echo that you've orchestrated within yourself? What if suddenly you couldn't regulate a constant supply of feedback to validate the self that you've created for others to see? How would your heart feel, with only itself to resonate with? ~
I want to share emotional depth to help you, and myself, to expand awareness for the totality of all things and the way that experience moves through us. I wish to depersonalize my emotions, in a way that I can recall and digest my own experiences with you, without you feeling like you need to relate yourself to someone in any system of determining value or rank. I don't want praise or sympathy or negative judgement to blind you from true vision. I feel plagued with the assumptions and meassurement of others, which are solely based on the self that lead to determinations of "less than" or "better than". In fact, I like to perform a process with some people where I act as a mirror for their own attempts at acceptance and understanding. I silence my imposition and allow you to see yourself, as I do the same, because I trust in us, to move towards the highest vibrational truth, and I will not waste my time trying to prove my worth or responding to you doing so. It's you and you, and I and I
YOU and your intention is the fertile essence that weaves the fibers of the infinite, and unless you turn the mirror on yourSElf and feel your own echo, over and over again, in any situation, and allow yourself to center with your own condition, without judgement, or others to validate you and your search for pleasure in this life (narcissism is an aquired condition, and is thriving, especially in the cultures thatve been created for all of us to consume and become enthralled with) you will continue to repeat tense behaviors and will call this endless loop of internal feedback and emotional reaction your true self.
Silence, when allowed, can actively be recognized as a space, where we can hear the balancing act that all parts of the self are performing as one🦋
