Hurricane Michael has caused destruction on a massive scale and my heart goes out to those whom have lost much if not everything. Got to visit my gym for the first time and after a quick corralling of lots of loose rocks and stuff... It's still a sad sight. Gotta make it work for now though

The epoxy fill bled quite a bit into the maple grain of this board but instead of tossing it, I saved it with some @varathane weathered wood accelerator.

💫Pressing the ground so hard, could not be pressing harder! 💫Flexing my back a bit (Oh no! 😱- advanced people can get away with some ‘jeopardised form’ as pushing my ribs down is what prevents me switching to my lower back instead of using my gluts) And that waa it. Simple, not draining as I want to go explore the city and walk all day, yet effective! Flashback to 10 and a half years ago and our first ride together as husband and wife. No fun cars for us these days, just one really big car and once very old car. But the seats are filled with laughter and singing...and complaining and screaming.
Tonight we get to leave all the noise behind for a much needed date night. No one to buckle in a car seat or throw snacks at. Just the two of us spending time together to remind ourselves that we did fall in love once and that the love we have is still strong. I’d love to hear how often you do date night and your favorite things to do!
A question I get a lot: How do you work out with a baby? I wish I could give a simple answer, but the truth is that it changes every day. Sometimes he’s happy to chase the dog around for the full 30 minutes, but other days it takes closer to an hour to get it done! A few things that work for us: If he’s fussy, I use him as a weight/ incorporate him into my workout. Sometimes that means modifying, and that’s ok! I try to sure I’m working the same muscle group as the move I’m modifying. For example, if I’m modifying pushups but he needs to be held, ill get the upper body workout by doing a set of chest presses with him as a weight. When he’s occupied and happy, I put in 200% effort, since I don’t know how long I’ll be able to get through the moves as intended. I also keep toys and snacks on hand at all times! I don’t turn on the TV or give him the iPad- just our family’s personal preference. I also don’t get discouraged! Going in with the right mindset is everything. It may take longer than normal, it may not look the way it used to look, but that’s ok.
