The woman flipping the tire is my client Megan Bamford. (She also happens to be my cat's doctor.) Megan is a member of @interactivefitness in La Crescenta. Ever since I first began working with #VFE , Megan has been my client, coming faithfully every 2 weeks for her #recovery and #maintenance work. She's looking pretty bad ass with her tire flipping! #repost @iafsjewels
I have been terrified of posting this picture publicly. Seeing myself in these ‘before’ photos is so embarrassing! That was me roughly 3 years ago. A hot mess who had a new baby, ate poorly, and clearly had never heard the word cardio in her life..lol. But then I look at that person on the right. The one who made the decision to get healthy and in shape. The one who feels so much happier and confident every day. The one that doesn’t take an hour to figure out what to wear because I look “too fat” in everything. It’s been a struggle every single day to make the right choices and to focus on maintaining what I’ve worked so hard for. No one can make you do it. You have to want it. But once you decide you’re worth it, it’s so simple. No, it’s not an easy process and certainly not always fun but the benefits outweigh the negatives. So I’m glad I have these photos to remind me of how hard I worked to call this a “before photo” and to remind me of what I’m never going back to!
These cut off dreadlocks were presented to me with hope they could be cleansed and prepared for install. I put them through a rigorous deep cleansing process using bi carb soda, eucalyptus, tea tree, rosemary and lavender essential oils. I was then able to crochet them back into shape and ready for the new head they were going on. Stay tuned to see before and after pics 😊✌️
