An unedited iPhone pic from last night. The waxing moon over the little island. The light from the moon and Venus was reflecting on the water as it became dark. I wish I could have captured the stars - it was amazing. @deb_7784 - next year we will have a fire on the beach 🔥 #stargazing#mainecoast
Back on this cold rainy day in April when we joined friends from @maine_coast_heritage_trust and @bigtreehospitality out on The Goslings to plan an event. Well now tickets are available at mcht.org for our Maine-Style Clambake on September 22nd. From 1:30-6:30 we’ll be pouring beer and serving up some delicious food in support of the preservation of the beautiful Maine coast. Come join us!
Good luck today to @graceparker909 on her first day of college/semi-real life. Really seems like a short eighteen years—but you’ve made it in spite of my bad academic advice—so I’m sure you’ve got this. Excited to see what you do next 🤙
These Maine islands. They are something spectacular, particularly from a glider. I basically flew back from the west coast just for this view.
If you're in the Maine, get a glider ride from my dad at his glider business, Spirit Soaring Glider Rides, and get yourself out over these islands!
The Lobstah Eatahs. Our Windjammer vacation in 2012 was an adventure. Our schooner got tangled with a lobster pot and was stuck on this rock as the tide was going out. We had to abandon ship! We were taken to this island, where we had our also rescued lobster dinner, and later boarded another schooner to finish our vacation. I felt so bad for the captain and crew, but this little mishap certainly made it a vacation to remember. For all you Schooner lovers out there, she was hauled out, a big clean up and minor repairs were needed, and she was back in the water just a few weeks later! #mainewindjammer#mainephotography#windjammercruise#coastalmaine#maritime#maine_igers#mainecoast#maineoutdoors
