Here is the new store logo! It's been 10 months since taking over Alter Your Health and I felt it was time to implement a new look that truly represents me and reflects my vision for the store. I love how it has come together and can't wait for the new signage in the next couple of weeks!

CUSTOM ORDER | 3m by 6m backdrop in mid greys with medium texture. Sadly I can not hang this high enough to do it justice. I’m expecting I will see more dancers grace this new drop. I look forward to it.
No exercise today...well, not the fun kind anyway 🙄 Because of all this lovely rain we've had, the grass and weeds have grown like crazy 🌱 You would think our furry lawnmowers (Annie & Millie) could control the situation but no, we had to get the ride-on mower out to take care of our rapidly growing jungle. They did get to enjoy the weeds I pulled out though 🐐😉

This mornings practice was interesting. My back was sore, my legs were stiff, my arm balances were heavy and I was thinking to myself ‘there is no way I’m going to post this’. However, when I looked back, I saw how far I’ve come from when I started yoga years ago.
I don’t mind falling. In fact, if you look close enough, you can see me laugh at myself as I ungraciously lose the pose. The important thing is I was on the mat, practicing what I love. The poses aren’t meant to be easy because life isn’t always easy. It’s the lessons and the growth you pick up on the journey. And the journey is to no specific destination. It just is!

When she knows she is not supposed to lick you but she wants to try 😊 😜
Little Miss Georgie Girl is the biggest licker that I have ever known 😜 If I allowed her to, she would lick me continuously. It took me a while to work her out, but I have discovered that because she is a sensitive, anxious little soul, that her licking is related to anxiety.
It is her attempt to dominate the situation when she is not clear that I am in control. If I allow her to lick, her behavior becomes more and more excitable and the licking increases. If I push her away every time she licks and wait a minute or two, and then re-invite her back into my personal space, making it clear that I do not want her to lick, she calms down immediately. By not allowing her to lick, I am showing clearly in dog language that I am taking control.
All dogs naturally try to dominate, some want to be in charge but some like Georgie don’t, but it is instinctual for them to try. Dogs feel much safer, happier and more relaxed if you can show them that you are clearly in control.
