The Chronograph...In my opinion a complication used by many brands for aesthetic purposes and not the original purpose as a measurement of time...Whether it’s on track or flying a plane...George Graham was a connoisseur of the Chronograph Watch...These @graham1695 use the patented lever arch chronograph mechanism used by pilots in WWII as they could stop and start the movement easily through their gloves...Today they make a mean looking time piece with a touch of flair...Here we have the Chronofighter and the Chronofighter Superlight...Which do you Prefer?? #watchweek
FUN FRIDAY | By @carolinarmarrelli
It’s FRRRRIIIIIDDAAAAY!!! Wooohoo! •
Today I’d like for YOU to get to know me a little bit better by sharing a fun acts about myself!
My sport of choice? FENCING! Yes, fencing. As in “sword fighting.” It runs in the family; My grandpa was a fencer when he was a cadet at VMI and my dad was also a fencer when he attended Augusta Military Academy.
I was always the child sword fighting with wrapping paper tubes, so my parents started me in fencing lessons when I was in junior high. I fell in love with it immediately. I had to stop for a few years and then started back fencing in my very early 20’s when I lived in Baltimore. Competing was my favorite thing ever. I trained 5x a week with a personal trainer on my lunch breaks, then I’d go to the club to fence at night 2-3x a week and compete on Saturdays. The downside? All of the bruises on my legs. But SO worth it! •
It was through fencing that I learned the value of visualization. I would sit and visualize myself fencing certain people, going through certain motions and of course, WINNING. When I did that, I always won. When I didn’t, I lost. •
I stopped fencing because of my insane work hours and then my poor knees where just taking such a beating that I had to give them a break. However, it’s something that I would love to pick back up again. Not so much for the competition, but just for the sheer enjoyment of it. Plus, it looks like my sons already have the fencing gene - they too are doing to sword fighting with wrapping paper rolls or light sabers!
When building a brand, you are developing a story that you want to share with your target audience. A vision they will appreciate and can’t wait to be a part of to share the experience. #brandstory#luxelife
