My All-Time Favorite Way To Sweat ⤵️
• |TIPS FOR RUNNERS, OR THOSE WHO WANT TO GET INTO RUNNING| •
Growing up as a sprinter I always told my coach, no more than one lap for me. 🙅🏼♀️ Now, I currently ENJOY (ya I know, I’m psycho) running 6 miles for fun and am thinking about doing a a half marathon. Running is my escape, stress reliever, and a time I get to listen to mah jams 🎶 I will say running is not for everyone but here are some tips that help me through these longer runs! •
| You don’t HAVE TO do anything, set a goal mileage for the day, and if you are not feeling it, stop - try not to get hung up on a number | •
•| stay in tune with the mile you’re in, don’t think about how many more you have, think about the pace, and how your legs are doing. Last mile was crappy? This next one is a fresh start! Get after it and give yourself a pat on the back, you made it this far!
•|Get them tunes out! This is your time to catch up on the latest hits! There are some AWESOME hour long remixes out there on YouTube that keep you pumped up and going for miles! | •
•|FUEL your body, get that high carb pre-workout snack or meal in before walking out the door- you’ll notice how much longer you can train fueled rather than fasted | •
•| Start short and slow, .25 of a mile? GREAT! Add a quarter each week, set some goals and challenge yourself! | •
•| WALK, yes you heard me, taking breaks to walk is not frowned upon, keep moving keep that heart rate up and you’re heading down the right path!| •
•| Invest in some GOOD QUALITY SHOES, if you listen to anyone take if from the girl who had two stress fractures in her shins and iced 3 times a day during track seasons. Your bones NEED the cushion, your knees, shins and feet will thank you for it! |
• | HYDRATE 17-20 ounces of water 2 hours before hand or 7-10 ounces 10-15 minutes before! Sweating is a thing so make sure you replenish your body with electrolytes and fluid ( 16-24 ounces for every pound lost throughout the run) | ••

Yesterday I started an 8 week transformation challenge and as part of the coach test group we have to take before pictures! They are a great way to measure your progress! This challenge totally coincides with my own 10 pound challenge which you can find details about in my profile story highlights under My Fitness Journey!
The cool thing is when I weighed myself on Sunday, it was the exact same as it was when I finished my 80 day challenge earlier this year!!! . Can I seriously get some virtual 🖐🏻🖐🏻 here...this is huge for me! Why??
Because for once I didn’t go backwards between challenges!! I honestly have been notorious for gaining weight between these program launches and challenges! I’m ecstatic that didn’t and I’m that much closer to reaching my ultimate goal!!

My natural reaction to life lately (unfortunately) has been to retreat and put up walls. 🙅🏻♀️ Though I constantly talk about being #purposefullyuncomfortable , and forcing myself out of my comfort zone, it hasn’t been that easy for me. I’m not walking my talk, and I want to own that. I’ve been letting #fear run my world and my anxiety has been in overdrive.
For anyone who’s suffered from #anxiety and #panicattacks , you know you can’t always help how you feel, even though you desperately want to feel differently. So I’ve spent a lot of quiet time 🧘🏻♀️ trying to figure out why I’ve been so anxious and come to realize that it’s FEAR that’s been holding me back. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear that the other shoe will drop. 😞
Currently working on being the girl who sees the light, the fullness, the LOVE again. ☀️✨💖. Who chooses joy, acceptance, and welcomes life with open arms. Who looks fear in the face and says, “NOT TODAY SATAN!” 😜 Who doesn’t let their teething, 9-week old puppy give them panic attacks 😆🤦🏻♀️. (@konadukethehusky 👀)

this run usually kicks my butt bc like all of the elevation gain is within one mile. on long run sunday the mile that had this climb was my worst split by far lmao i think it was 2 minutes higher than most of the rest & worse than any of the other hills i hit…but i don’t want it to scare me. so i came back. and it felt GOOOD. even felt like i could’ve pushed the pace a lot more. but i didn’t bc i am trying to be smart about my knee pain. this compression sleeve is magical

The road is my RUNway💖👟✨ TRUTH✨ It’s no secret how much I love to run! I feel my best when I am out on the open road taking in all there is to see and explore🌸. I may be panting & drenched in sweat💦 but I feel the most confident & happy when I’m running. I’m in my element. A complete stranger took this photo. I had stopped my training run when we got to the beach because I had realized Miles had yet to see the beauty of water (outside of his tub and a swimming pool of course) — A random man saw my Ironman tattoo, came over and asked which race(s) I had done. He had been racing Ironman himself for over 45 years! Our conversation continued and he said “Miles will be an Ironman too one day- just give him 18 more years.” We laughed and I said maybe, but right now he’s enjoying his first glance at the water. “The first look at this may be as magical as the Ironman finish line...” he said. “Let me take a picture.” ❤️ The sport of triathlon is beautiful. This life is beautiful. .... and midwesterners are so darn nice 🤣 #MilesFoyJ
This way too in your face selfie brought to you by 5 am exhaustion 😵 don’t be fooled by the angle either, my quads are NOT this slim. ❗️Most scientific literature dating back from 1999 to 2010 essentially states that there is very little understanding on genetics and muscle distribution and dominance in individuals. More recent literature has attempted to expand on dominance and distribution but shows that it’s even more difficult to explain in the female anatomy. Why? Remember testosterone is not a females primary sex hormone and we constantly have estrogen and progesterone fighting testosterone in terms of muscle building! So you can’t exactly pick where you have muscle dominance, meaning training specific muscle groups to even out this overactivity is important. ‼️I never wanted to train quads because hello, they pick up for almost all leg movements for me anyways, but the last thing you want to do is leave them out in isolation movements. I now train these thunder thighs but utilize higher reps and isolation movements and try to keep compound movements posterior chain dominant. This works for me and tbh I’ve come to accept the quadzilla physique, it’s who I am 🤠 *finishes ramble, thumbs are tired*
For me, Disneyland is more than just a theme park. I actually do not like theme parks at all. I don’t go there for the rides (yes, they are lots of fun). I actually go there for the churros 😂. I am kidding, but seriously they are so goood!!! I have an annual pass because i go for the energy, the joy, the history. If you look past the attractions and just sit in the energy of the park you will feel in your heart that everything begins from within. Magic begins within you. ✨Happy Birthday Disneyland ✨
