I don’t usually post twice on the same day but I would be remiss if I didn’t honor the memory of our boy Oliver. Four years ago today he crossed the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge. We were living in CA, our house was up for sale, and the three of us were getting ready to move to Kauai. Oliver had not been feeling well and he told us to “go on without him. He would see us there.” We moved, found our home, and one evening, before we took possession, we were at the house by ourselves. No electricity. An almost full moon’s light was shining in the windows in the sunroom. Oliver, in the moonlight, walked between us, into the sunroom, and disappeared. He had come home. We miss you and ❤️💜 you.
If you know me personally, or if you read our blog post a while back about moving here, you know that this move was a long time coming for us. About five years ago, when we really started getting more serious about wanting to raise our family here, I started a Pinterest board and titled it Law of Attraction. I spent a good four years pinning everything I love about Hawaii to that board. The craziest thing is that in all the years we talked about moving to Hawaii, Kauai was never really on our radar. I guess we just didn’t think about it being an option since it’s a smaller island with less job opportunities. After we found out that Alex got his job and that we would for sure be moving here, I went back and looked at my Pinterest board. I noticed that about 80% of all the things I had pinned to that board were of Kauai. Not even on purpose, but they were just the things that made me the happiest. When I realized that it blew my mind. I literally attracted my Law of Attraction Pinterest board into our lives 😆 (you know I immediately started a new board with pics of million dollar homes 🤣 I’m completely not joking 😬) some days the adjustment to being on our own so far away is hard, but mostly it’s been the most beautiful adventure. Yesterday we FINALLY got to cruise the Na Pali Coast. Something that has literally been on my bucket list for close to a decade! It was AMAZING 😭🙌🏻 swipe for dolphins!!!!!! Then go attract all the goodness into your lives! The energy of the mind is a powerful thing!
Organic Acaí bowls! (With toppings like Granola, Raw Cocoa Nibs, Chia Seeds, Bee Pollen, Organic Dark Chocolate Chips, Shredded Coconut, Raw Cocoa Powder, Hemp Hearts, Organic Peanut Butter). They are available #vegan or #beegan as well just by swapping our MY Kaua'i Honey (@mykauaihoney) with some Organic Raw Agave 😏. We can even make them Gluten-Free if that's your thing. But in the end, it's all about what's inside - organic fruit and account blended as close as we can get to 🤙, with a touch of a soy/coco milk to add creaminess. Nothing else. Just good stuff. Welcome to Monday 😄✌️
Went hiking with a couple friends this morning while my daughter volunteered at a healing horse ranch.
@farmrgrrl And @catuare so fun play-dating with you!!!
We were all in agreement at how necessary being in nature in this way is for our bodies and being.
The color green, the amazing moss, the incredible smells, the fresh air and just bring close to the earth.
Hiking is one of my all time fave forms of exercise. It always does more than just the body good.
Welcome back @sarastorm5 !!
We are happy to have Sarah back on Kauai and joining us to teach regularly starting this month.
Her is a little bio:
“I went to Bikram teacher training in 2007 on Oahu.
I am from Idaho but have lived many different places and Kauai is one of my very favorite because of the amazing people and energy of the island.
Teaching yoga is a life long passion, and I am so excited to be here on this island and sharing the love of teaching and taking yoga.” See you in the hot room! 😊🐯🔥🌈🧘♂️🏝❤️❤️❤️🌸
