👉Before lifting the heavy object, make sure to keep a wide base of support. Always make sure your feet are shoulder-width apart, to ensure good, proper balance during your heavy lift.

👉Simply squat down as close to the object as possible, bending at the hips and knees with your buttocks out.

👈As you begin lifting, keep a good posture. Look straight ahead, keep your back straight, your chest out, and your shoulders back. This will help keep your upper back straight while having a slight arch in your lower back at the same time.

👉Slowly lift the object by straightening your hips and knees (not your back). Extend your legs and breathe out as you lift. Do not twist your body or bend forward as you lift the heavy object.

Lower back pain is the greatest source of global disability, ahead of nearly 300 other conditions, leading to huge levels of healthcare costs and suffering. Having episodes of back pain is so common that it is abnormal not to have some back pain at some time in your life. Because it is so common, a lot of everyday things, including slouching, twisting, carrying heavy things and exercise, are wrongly blamed for causing or worsening the problem.
Many people with lower back pain don’t manage it well because of wrong advice – and a lot of unhelpful myths about what back pain is and what you should do about it. .
Here are 5 myths about lower back pain:

1. Moving will make my back pain worse.
Do not fear twisting and bending. It is essential to keep moving. Muscles that are in spasm, due to pain, relax when gently moved and stretched.
.
2. Avoid exercise (especially weight training).
Studies have found that continuing with these can help you get better sooner – including weight training. All exercise is safe provided you gradually build up intensity and do not immediately return to previous levels of exercise after an acute episode of pain.
.
3. A scan will show exactly what is wrong.
There is a poor correlation between findings on a scan and sources of pain. Most adults without back pain will have changes in the anatomy of their spine that are visible age-related adaptations that don’t cause any problems.
.
4. Pain equals damage.
Level of pain has very little relationship to damage to the spine and more to do with your unconscious and conscious interpretation of the level of threat the pain represents to the sufferer. Cultural influences, work, stress, past experience and duration of symptoms have a stronger relationship with pain than the number of normal age-related changes you have on your scan.

5. Heavy school bags cause back pain.
Heavy school bags are safe. There is no established link between heavy school bags and back pain.

The deadlift has many variations which target muscles to a different extent making it a very versatile exercise to add to your routine. The deadlift variations mostly vary on how much quads, glutes and hamstrings they will activate based on the weight placement. the hex bar deadlift will be the most  balanced between quad and glute, the sumo deadlift will be slightly more quad relative to the standard deadlift. Lastly the rdl based exercises will be mostly hamstring and glute.

Another place where the deadlift will vary is pressure on the spine and how much the erector muscles work. This will vary based on the hinge angle of the exercise and the weight capacity the exercise allows for. More upright deadlifts like the Sumo and hex bar deadlifts will create less press on the back and may be useful for individuals who have pain in the low back. While conventional and RDL place a great deal of torque on the back and may not be the best, however they can be useful to those who have knee pain. The single leg RDL can work both ways as its usually done with lighter weight and is a great motor control exercise as well.

When programing these exercises into your routine its important to have an equal distribution of volume for the posterior and anterior. So, during your routine the hamstring and glutes should get trained roughly the same as the quads. One thing to pay attention to is for exercises that target the hamstring which are often undertrained. Note that the scale above is not exact and is mostly a general guide to what muscles the exercise activates relative to others.

6. Plank. (Keep glutes active. Squeeeze em. Remain strong in shoulders. Don’t let them collapse in.) I like doing these exercises anywhere from 8-15 reps. Planks are timed. •

🙋🏻‍♀️This tiny little Asian with elbows of steel, & a background of similar injuries, combined with exponential technical knowledge has managed to desensitise my chronic pain, increase my range of motion beyond my expectation, & actually have me squat within a matter of 2hrs!!

Hyper extension is one the most common exercise which is very safe & count as easiest exercise for our lower back. It is easy to perform & anyone can do it either beginner or advance trainee.

But, one of the common mistake most people does is : to put more pressure on their lower back while doing hyper-extension, to increase the contraction on their lower back, they start raising their upper body more than its need.

As you can see in the video, I posted the comparison of Right Vs Wrong ! The video clarifies the difference even better !

This exercise is great for strengthning of lower back muscles —
P.s :  do not perform this exercise if u have Intervertebral disc bulging....perform under supervision

Stabilita trupu (CORE) je tak často skloňované slovo. Izometrické cvičenie, ako napríklad plank, patrí k základným cvikom, o ktoré sa pokúša každý jeden človek, či už doma alebo vo fitku. Len zabúdame, že core je aj náš spodný chrbát.

Lenže pri plankoch. tu zapájame minimum svalov v zadnej časti trupu, ktoré nám spôsobujú bolesť a často ich preťažujeme. Preto by sme mali tento cvik zaradiť do nášho tréningu.

Many people with back pain may have fear-limiting beliefs to move in specific ranges of motion. For example, a client with lower pain aggravated by bending over (spinal flexion), may avoid flexing at the spine at all. 😞 In the short term, this may be appropriate to allow tissues to heal, decrease symptom reproduction, etc, but overtime, the goal of treatment should be to slowly reintegrate this movement in a pain-free manner to their daily routines! 👍

Cat cow’s are a great back mobility exercise that can be a staple to help address these restrictions. The goal is to re-train the body to work through these ranges of flexion and extension without the provocation of symptoms. .

The use of a resistance band looped through the mid-back vs low-back can help isolate specific areas of movement by providing a tactile feedback to the body in the thoracic or lumbar spine. .
.
For example, placing the band around the mid-back area is a great way to help someone learn how to move through their thoracic spine and open up into flexion and extension. 👌
