*MEN*! We are living through interesting times. For most of us growing up we were taught to be tough, to provide, to be dominant, to not show emotion. to be “alpha”. However, a lot of us are seeing that this is an outdated model of what it means to be a man and it isn’t working. We are in pain. We are tired. We are frustrated. We are angry. WE ARE AGGRESSIVE.
But we don’t know how to express it in a constructive matter. Some of us resort to hurting ourselves or worse, others. We don’t know how to say we feel lonely so we talk about the women we’re sleeping with. We don’t know how to say we are insecure about our bodies so we talk about how much we are hitting the gym. We don’t know how to say we are lost on our life purpose so we talk about all the money we’re racking up. We are constantly trying to show each other that we are playing the game the “right” way, when in deep down, we know it all feels so wrong.
With where the world is going, this sense of false masculinity and inability to communicate with another in a positive, loving and honest way is not going to work. It’s time to get real and redefine what it means to us to “Be a Man.” Ruben J. Gutierrez and myself invite you to come hang with us on Monday September 24th as we launch our first ever Weekly Men’s Group where we will be diving deep on the good, the bad, and the REALLY REALLY ugly truth of what it is to live life as a man.

A good sweat session in the morning helps me clear my head and start fresh for the new day.
That’s how I’ve changed my mindset over the past year.
It’s not ‘Darn-it I gotta workout this morning!’
It’s, ‘What a day! I need to workout! Need to clear my head and set my priorities.’
Often times I hear 👂 ladies say they can’t workout bc they are so busy. I get it! But my busiest, most stressful times is when I NEED to workout the most just to keep my sanity.
The minute I flipped my thinking for good, was the minute I became consistent!
You either learn it the hard way or you discover more about you than meets the eye!
Children bring about wonder and magic in you if only you let them... Lots of things happening in my little space: magic, manifestation, motherhood... Man! I can’t wait for tomorrow!!! Have you ever tried letting your kids show you who you can be?
Ever since starting my gluten free journey, I haven't had many good weeks or good days. I have been unwell, feeling run down and unproductive. It was frustrating and disappointing. However, this week has been a good week. I have been productive with work, feeling well (I'm not even bloated for once!) and loving life. I am happy. I can't stop smiling 😄 Progress does happen, it just takes time. So I will continue to persevere and celebrate the good days as they come 😊🌸
So.... This happened!! I freaking LOVE ramen noodles!
And when you have nothing really to eat, and you're exhausted, this is what happens.
This is called LIFE!!
LOL!! You do your best, and sometime high sodium, fantastic noodles enter your life and your system! Haha
I swear, if these were good for you, I'd eat them day in and day out!
Cocktails 🍸 and carbs 🍞 is something I GLADY soaked in this vacation. Let’s talk about my mindset for vacation. .
In the past I’ve ate like an absolute asshole and drank and it’s messed with me mentally because I would gain. This time I prepared to be accepting of the fact I’m going to gain weight (I think honestly hiring a coach helped). I prepared myself for looking bloated in the mirror for not liking the number on the scale. .
And guess what? Coming out of a restriction mindset and and into an accepting mindset I didn’t eat like an asshole and I didn’t drink like one either. Since I knew I wasn’t restricting myself I didn’t feel like I needed to eat everything like I would never see it again. I made smart choices for breakfast and lunch and let loose a little at dinner. It’s definitely is the best I’ve looked coming out of vacation even though I’m a little terrified to weigh myself but that’s a long broken relationship with the scale. .
The biggest change I definitely saw is coming to England In the past I was so concerned with getting these damn workouts in as best as I could in “lifting” form. While I did an emom once I literally counted my walking (granted it was over 4-5 Miles on the days I did) as my workout. It didn’t have to be my strict lifting routine. This would be unheard of from me in the past. .
This all honestly can be contributed to pretty much leaving the fitness community and only associating with those who I love. I’m not putting so much pressure on myself to be a certain way and in turn I’m exploring my life more. It’s only been a god sent for me and my mental health. Have a lost “friends” and followers. Yeah but they only liked me for a person that wasn’t making me happy. Take care of you it’s all you have ♥️

Just over 6 miles on the roads last night, with group D. Going up to Orpington Station, into Petts Wood and Crofton before passing Darrick Woods schools and head back a long the A21.
Legs were a bit stiff from Sundays run, so I was tempted to drop down a group, but was glad I didn't.
The legs feel better today for it, my aim is to get the 10k with ease and improve my time.
Did have one little mishap when I ran in to a railing !! Bashing the knee I dislocated 10 months ago, but all seems ok .......at the moment.

I never missed one workout during the 8 week program .... but boy did I enjoy summer. 🍺🍦🍿🍾🍩🍔🌭🍕🙈 .
Surprisingly...... I stayed in maintenance mode. And my stomach toned a bit.
But what I do know FOR SURE! I got SO MUCH stronger. .
4 days a week.
30-40 minutes a day.
Clean eating Meal plan .... I’ll follow that for real now...not just half way. 🤣
