Seeing these gorgeous @curlyellie Curls from @roo_and_posie made me realise that I have not gone through THE RULES for a very long time.
So I thought it would be a great idea to revisit them and add or take away from the 15 rules. . Please send me your rules too 😍❤️
RULE 12 : If you must brush, brush when conditioning. Tease out knots gently, never pull or tug at tangles.
Sometimes tangles are unavoidable. Gently tease out knots when the hair is wet, and well-lathered with conditioner. Start at the ends and hold the hair near the knot and very gently work the brush through the hair, a small section at a time..
Use your fingers alone as much as your can and if really knotted, you could use a Brush but take care not to tug at the knots.

🌟PRODUCT REVIEW/FIRST IMPRESSION🌟
@sheamoisture Green Coconut & Activated Charcoal Purifying & Hydrating In-Shower Mask and Moisturizing Jelly Cream 💚
I had the opportunity to try this line thanks to SheaMoisture and I’m absolutely loving it! 🙌🏽
Let’s talk about the In-Shower Mask first! This line reminds me of the 100% Virgin Coconut line scent. The mask has a gel like consistency. Because of it’s consistency be careful when squeezing it out. It does come out black but goes on clear as you can see in the picture above. Keep in mind I first cleansed my face with #sheamoisture African Black Soap and Bamboo Charcoal Detoxifying Foaming Facial Wash then followed up with the mask. After applying it all over my face and neck, I did feel a tingly almost burning sensation (it wasn’t overwhelming) I let it do work for about 3 minutes instead of 5, then rinsed. I automatically felt my skin clean and super smooth, which I loved.
Moving on to the Moisturizing Jelly Cream. Same scent. It literally has a jelly/cream consistency. Not too jelly but not creamy either, it’s PERFECT! (TIP 📝 Lately, no matter what moisturizer I use I always apply 1-2 drops of tea tree oil to my face and neck first.) I then applied the jelly cream to my face and neck in circular motion. My face looked clearer and felt super smooth! Overall I loved both these products! Definately recommend both but if you have sensitive skin the mask might be a little too much for you. 🖤
You can find both these products at @ultabeauty ! They both retail for $12.99. 😘
#TransformationTuesday I actually thought the photo on the left (before) was as curly as my hair was ever going to be. My point is, keep your mind open and keep going. Your curls are waiting and wanting to flourish, but if you’ve spent years damaging your hair with heat styling and non-nourishing products, they’ll take a while to blossom. My issue has been that I have zero clue on how to care for curly hair and it’s made me realize that there’s a general lack of education on caring for curly hair. If you’ve noticed this too, let me tell you that the internet is indeed a curly girl’s best friend. 😬
Here is the truth .... I took a freaking long break from my business as a coach, and there is not a good excuse for it!
I let myself fall into the trap that I warn all my friends about : don’t let the nay sayers and the negative people get into your head. Don’t let them dictate what you can and cannot do. Your dreams and goals are yours alone, not theirs. They don’t pay your bills, you are. But if you don’t go after your dreams you slip back to the poverty and unfulfilling life that they have and that is exactly what those negative people want.... You see they are just scared of if you reach your goals you won’t be their friends. And that can happen... Either ways, we have to draw a line in the sand and say this is enough! I am going after it with you, or without you and if you don’t like it, or don’t want to be part of it just step aside because this is my life and my family’s life that is important here..... I do wish you’d join me though, it would be more fun ❤️
Sometimes we waste a lot of time fixating about the wrong things: things that are going wrong, time we may or may not have, things we wish we had or could do. I'm learning that fussing about these things doesn't matter as much as where I keep my focus. Where is your focus today? On the positive or negative?
When you get to the park vs when you’re leaving. I had such an awesome day today with people I don’t spend much quality time with. It was so great to have some family time with some of the ladies in my family. ❤️
