I am sharing the resort low down of @stjamesclubslu today, you know all those niggling questions you have when booking a resort? But looking at all those pictures of this gorgeous resort has made me want to go straight back there.💗💕🥂🌴☀️✈️ However although I will not be basking on a Caribbean beach 🏖 today. I do have exciting plans and will be nipping to @batch_brew with @mini_travellers & @goingonanadventureblog for a tour and to find out how their award winning gin is made😀 check out my stories I am beyond excited.
And another reason to explore, check out this AMAZING street art I snapped on our Pink Panther Tour of St Lucia. This takes some talent! In fact all swanky hotels should have a street art wall, just putting that out there ! Because there is nothing better than seeing local inspiration talent. Another reason to visit @stjamesclubslu @eliteisland and another reason to go back 💗
The beauty of having family and friend links with another country is that you get to see places that are off the beaten track - places where tourists don’t often go. Not one to stay on a resort anyway, I’m the sort of traveller that loves to see how the locals live. .
My mums neighbour and friend of over 45 years used to live in London but moved back to her home country of St Lucia around 20 years ago. Her house now sits yards away from the beach. Maybe not great when a hurricane strikes but the calm seas and slightly grey skies welcomed us that day. I’d describe the village of Laborie (situated in the south of the island) as quite quaint. But not in the English countryside type of way. More in an authentic Caribbean kinda way: fishing boats, old-fashioned plywood houses standing next to their modern cousins, friendly locals and a pier stretching out from the sandy beach. More photos of the beautiful town to follow. .
I am just in the process of writing up and editing the pics from our Pink Panther tour. What an experience that was? 💗🌴 Visiting a country is not just about sitting in a beautiful resort. It’s also about getting out and meeting the locals, finding out about the history and getting a feel for the heart of an 🌴 Island 💗🏖One thing I learnt about our trip is how important it is to buy @fairtradeuk this is how we can h lot support small communities and local farmers. I was astounded at the devastation that one bad crop could cause a community. And it is something I will support going forwards.
Ah take me back to the Caribbean Beach 🏖 💕 This gorgeous pier is the most wonderful seafood restaurant at night it is all lit up against the sea serving the most delicious food. One night we shared wedding cake as dessert with a couple who had visited St Lucia to get married it was such a wonderful thing to be part of. 💕
I just adore this picture and am trying take as many photos while Joe will still let me🤣. .Jack is so hard to get a photo of now ! I am sharing our first post of our amazing holiday @stjamesclubslu @eliteisland I wish we were back there now💕 I said a week is enough and whilst it’s easy to do, longer is always better when you are all chilled and happy 💗
I am sat at my desk, the raining is pouring and I am so missing this place. On the bright side the holiday washing is nearly done 😬 I am thinking I might make myself a mango daiquiri tonight to chase away those holiday blues 💕 And I am loving scrolling though my holiday feed 😍💕 That is what holidays are all about, family memories 😍
I love this photo of Jack paddle boarding @stjamesclubslu @eliteisland I can’t believe he is driving, working and carving out his own life. So having time to chill as a family is something I so look forward too. Having our gorgeous boys to ourselves just for a while. We are home now but I will so miss this beautiful resort and Island and our family shaped bubble 💗 xx
And today we leave @stjamesclubslu @eliteisland after the most wonderful week. We have explored the 🌴 Island, chilled by the pool, done early morning classes tried paddle boarding and fit float! sipped delicious cocktails 🍹 ate great food and last nights beach party was so much fun. Joe has had the best time hanging out and playing volley ball with all his new friends whilst Jack has chilled and worked on his tan 🤣 if you are thinking of visiting St Lucia then this is the perfect little corner of paradise the staff are warm and friendly and the sun is hot. I am going to miss it so much. Thanks guys for a wonderful trip xx
And today is our last full day in paradise @eliteisland @stjamesclubslu this is such a unique place, we will be so sad to leave. We plan to pack today with water sports and make some more amazing family memories. I might even brave the banana boat 🍌 🚤
And today is a day of water sports. I started off with a early morning fit float class. Boy that was tough but amazing, then a beginners water ski lesson. Let’s just not mention that 🤣it seems Jack is the only Christie with ski legs. Next up the boys are booked on the banana boat. I love that all water sports are all included💗this place is a families dream there is soooo much to do.
Yesterday was just amazing we took the @stjamesclubslu @eliteisland Pink Panther tour, check out my stories for a peek of our day but omg it was incredible. Today after my morning Pilates I plan to spend the day chilling by the pool and trying out a few water sports maybe the odd 🥂 happy Sunday 💗
Good morning from St Lucia, we arrived @stjamesclubslu last night and wow what a welcome we have yet to explore the resort fully but our room is spectacular (if you fancy a nosey check out my stories) and the resort from what we have seen so far oozes with Caribbean charm. I know we are going to love it here. This photo was taken yesterday on our journey across the island through the rainforest. We stopped off at Dennery Lookout over the Atlantic side of the Island and wow what a view 💗
We are at the end of our trip and it has been a wonderful time filled with lots of happy memories that we will cherish. Big thanks go to Liam’s Uncle Barry who owns a place out here and to his generosity in allowing us to stay there. It really was lovely and the staff @thelandingsstlucia have been amazing and very kind 💕 Our photo of the trip is this one. It was one of the times a tour guide from the sailing trip offered to take a photo of us in front of the Pitons. Whilst handing over my camera the lens got smeared and then after a couple of shots he asked us to kiss in front of a boat filled with people - people which had already been politely asked to move out of the way for said photo shoot. We both got all awkwardly British about it and then afterwards was the even more awkward realisation “oh the photo is blurry!” but we were reluctant to ask for another one for fear of continuous humiliation (more staged kisses) but we actually love it this way anyway! Thank you St Lucia. #britishproblems#typicallybritish#stlucia#lovestlucia#pitons#pitonsstlucia#travelphotography#photography#blackandwhite
