❤️ Friday news ❤️ Introducing the very handsome Kyzer. Kyzer escaped from his garden back in April this year. While he was out he got involved in a minor scuffle with another dog, the owner of the other dog put her hand between them and sustained a minor injury. The injured party has maintained at all times that she did not wish to press charges against Kyzer or hi sowner.
The incident happened in April of this year, the police waited until June 13th to seize Kyzer. We arranged for a solicitor to accompany his owner to the police interview and awaited the official assessment of breed by the Dog Legislation Officer.
The news has just come in this morning that they have agreed Kyzer is NOT TYPE, his owner is very relieved. The incident still needs to be dealt with by the police, we are waiting to see if this will now progress to court. in the meantime Kyzer remains held in police kennels.
We noted in the recent EFRA oral inquiry, that the head of the Met Status Dogs Unit stated that they had a fast track system for seized dogs in the London area. It is concerning that, in an area that fast tracks these cases, it has taken over a month for a DLO to even look at Kyzer to assess his breed.
