Light is a big thing for Photographers. We’re often described as manipulators of light, whether that’s diffusing it, reflecting it or just using it to the best of its ability
I would say the ability to work the light available to you is essential because light sources aren’t constant; the light changes by the hour, with the seasons and it’s different according to the weather and your location. Each of these variables alter shape, tones and colours
Apart from the props and styling of a photograph setup, light, whether that’s a lack or abundance of it or how we manipulate it, is important to create images that have an atmosphere or mood... Basically you want images that can tell a story!
The wonderful @bealubas has created the #belightinspired challenge which is about experimenting with light direction; in this instance Back Light
When you use Back Light, the light source is directly in front of you, behind your subject. It kinda goes against the first bit of photography light advise you may have received about never shooting with the sun directly in front of your camera, but this direction produces highlights and contrasts that create a strong mood

- avocado - @hellmansmayonaise Sunflower + Lemon Mayonnaise Dressing
- @chobani Lemon and Cream Greek Yogurt - cilantro
- cucumber slices
To Make: Mix all listed ingredients except cucumbers which will be where you place your salad.
