June's Theme - Protecting Your Peace
Our next Soul Circle, Protecting Your Peace, will discuss how to practice being intentional about what and whom we choose to pour our energy into and saying no to things that drain our energy and don’t serve us.
By investing in the connections and activities that fuel, grow, and replenish us, we are able to protect our space and energy and cultivate peace in our lives.
We would love for you to join us in conversation, self-care, and an inspired yoga practice!

Have harmonium, will travel. The Blueddha is my co-pilot.
Packing the car, stopping for a last grocery pick-up, and mid-summer dreams take over from there.
When I get too busy — and that always happens, because there’s so much I love to do — I have to remind myself to look up and appreciate. This life filled with stories, songs, yoga, and love is a life of my own making, but by no means could I have created it on my own. Grateful for this, for the meandering journey, and for all the companions along the way.
In real time, one take how my self practice looks like.
Often clumsy and rough, but the more I practice and flow,
Let go and find my groove, the body becomes fluid. Today feeling a bit stiff, but enjoying some self practice time as I take a moment to reflect on yoga and life for myself.
This month marks 12 years of teaching yoga.
The growth comes not in how well I execute postures. My practice has slowed down considerably and my strength has weakened a bit, but my ability to feel peace and contentment in my life and self has increased abundantly.
Feeling Santosha (contentment) and always practicing aparigraha (non attachment)
This is my life, my love, my passion, my heart.
Thank you yoga!
Another flow today since I had extra time.
DREAMS DO COME TRUE! #fact 😱🙆😍
When your dreams reach higher than potentially even a lifetime of your today's realities, when your mind, reason and logic are telling you there is a massive chance it'll never happen to you in this life time or when doubt and despair start to kick in and you're easily tempted to believe that it will always be just that - a dream, don't give up.
Yes. You may not have a clue of how it could actually turn into a reality (I most certainly had none) and you may not believe it could happen anytime soon or ever for that matter, for various reasons, but always leave that humble room in your heart for hope and work on it. Believe that Universe has it's own ways of making things possible.
I always say just because something seams impossible to you today, it doesn't mean that it's actually going to stay that way forever. Work from the inside out. That's something you can always do. Get your thoughts in line, meditate, don't undermine your own intentions by letting negative thoughts or words guide you, let your actions, routines and determination speak for you and in favor of your dreams.
Take accountability for the words you use an attitudes you have in everyday life that might keep holding you back. 🕉 Thoughts have great power, words back it up - use that knowledge wisely.
Todays writing is basically filled with retrospectives of my own behavior over the years, but since I'm always "a work in progress" I can only share what I noticed helped me the most and the most important thing I've learned so far is that it's all much more connected than I ever thought possible.
Naturally👼, I don't want to spoil the surprise in advance by saying what mine was, but you'll see in a couple of days or even less!🌍
I'm wishing you a beautiful evening and a good night with even better dreams. Lots of love to you my insta fam,

There’s a local teacher in my community that keeps referring to me as “nothing more than a model”. Implying that because of my “pretty body”, everything came easy for me and somehow I’m privileged compared to others.
I remember it as if it was yesterday.
I was playing with my cousin in her backyard. We were kids and we were laying on the grass looking at the sky dreaming about what we would be when we grow up.
I wanted to be a veterinarian but I don’t remember what she wanted to be because her mom stepped in the conversation and told me these words:
“Well she will be a model because she is so skinny and you... you will be you, chubby and funny as usual.”
Chubby and funny.
Never had been.
I grew up overweight suffered from eating disorders, hated every single cell of my body, hoped to die.
What my aunt told me that day, at 10 years old, destroyed me.
It took me 25 years to learn how to love myself and see my body for exactly what it was, what it is: a miracle.
A miracle that survived all my hate.
I used to get really upset about judgment, especially when done with the only intent to hurt another —but I’ve changed. I know better now.
I am not just a model.
I am so proud of who I am.
In 2013 I was featured on the cover of a Yoga magazine, one that would become the first of a long series of future publications and covers.
When I held that magazine in my hands, I cried.
I cried for so long.
My aunt’s words resonated in my mind and without even realizing it I touched the magazine and I whispered: you were wrong...
Don’t let anyone define you.
