National Massage Week is here!
We wanted to kick off the week with the Benefits of Massage Therapy. 💆♀️💆♂️ .
Massage therapy has been used for centuries by all cultures as a healing art and is known to have therapeutic results that promote a great sense of physical and mental well-being.
Massage also helps to refresh the mind, body and spirit, softening sore or tight muscles and calming the central nervous system.
Regular therapy is strongly recommended for stress reduction, increasing flexibility, and an improving the daily performance of the body and mind.
To celebrate this week, each day we will be highlighting one of our talented massage therapists and a modality that they offer. .

On of our favorite tradition of Spirit Week at St. Nicholas School is Bedtime Stories, which was started by our beloved (now retired) librarian, Mrs. O! Last night, our children came in their favorite jammies to hear stories, eat cookies and drink milk with our TK teacher, our principal and our pastor! We ended the night with the annual recitation of _The Witch Goes Shopping_ by Lillian Moore, lead by 5th, 6th, and 7th graders, in honor of Mrs. O!
If you like, you can still pick up a few of your own #books for #bedtimestories at the #bookfair today! See more pictures and videos in Stories today.
Show your sweet side this Sweetest Day 💕and treat your loved one to a relaxing massage with one of our talented therapists. Kua Body gift cards are available in studio or online!

Come, as you are, as you were... It's #SpiritWeek at St. Nicholas School! Our kids went all out for #DecadesDay , with clothes from the '60s, '70's, '80s, '90s and on! Super fun to see everyone in their decades best... (And we're pretty sure some of those kids dressed up for the '90s had moms who were pretty familiar with #grunge !)
We love #manipulatives at St. Nicholas School! Manipulatives are objects which we use as teaching tools. They help students grasp concepts in a literal concrete and physical way. Manipulates are often used in math, or like here, for reading and writing! Making letters in #playdoh helps some of our youngest learners have better letter recognition and ultimately better reading comprehension.

There are a lot of roads located in the hills and mountains all around the Bay Area. Many, in fact, live in more “natural” surroundings than the urban centers - such as when we pickup in #sanmateo#woodside#losaltoshills#redwoodcity - our Academy Driving Programs include hill driving and parking training! #badainc#bayarea

St. Nicholas Schools offers great after-school enrichment opportunities! This autumn, the theme of our after-school art club is animals. Each week, the students explore different artists, techniques and media with our art teacher around that theme. This week, our students learned about printmaking and made prints! We love offering extracurriculars that enhance our students' curiosity and creativity!
