The tapper continues. Although it doesn't really feel like it with an 8 mile run today. But it was 10 miles last week, so 8 is doable. The run felt good, but my legs were like jelly after. The long runs of the weekend finally caught up with me. I definitely feel like I am training for a marathon now.
It was a great day for a run. Much warmer than yesterday. Autumn is in full force.
How is everyone looking forward to MCM this weekend? Will be fun 👍😁
This is so blurry but I am posting it anyway because I am SO proud of finally completing an 18 mile run! It helped a ton to have an actual location in mind so I chose the little red lighthouse near the George Washington Bridge as my mid-way point. At mile 12, there was a sun shower and a rainbow. At mile 16, there was the world's most beautiful sunset. I am really just so glad to have the longest training run in the books so I can focus on studying for my exam on Friday! 🌟
Happy Tuesday! I had a great day at work! I ran a total of 55 mins today! I chose to wear my Road Dogs t shirt today...anyone know who played for the Road Dogs? Okay well if you guessed Jonas Brothers, you are right! I am wearing @nickjonas number! Me and Sam saw Demi and Nick on tour in Boston together a few summers ago! The weather felt GREAT running and it was just SO beautiful out! I even saw some deer and a squirrel was running in front of me! Pretty cool! I am happy I was able to get a run in on this beautiful day, even more happier to run for 55 mins! Listened to some @hamiltonmusical on my run and with a mix of shuffle! Hope everyone enjoyed their Tuesday! The second photo is of @karliekloss from today that she posted. She is one of the people I admire SO much and I inspire to be as awesome as she is! She is truly inspiring! She inspires me to be my best self, optimistic, passionate and hard working! SHE IS SO AWESOME!!! So shoutout to her!!!! She ran the New York City marathon last year! #runnersofinstagram#runnerselfie#runners_of_insta#karliekloss#NickJonas#JonasBrothers#Runner#Ran#LongRun#TuesdayRun#FallRun#runnergirl#runnerlife#runnerworld#runnerspace#runnerscommunity#runnermotivation#grateful#fall#octoberrun
Today I ran uncomfortably in a tempo run designed to push me to outer limits for a bit. Only a short run, but I’m super pleased with the result considering I’ve not had a proper run since Saturday. Love my #pegasusturbo for these ones.

It’s been a while since I've shared a post, and so, here it is a new short series about my last little adventure at Monte Terminillo last Sunday!!
I’ll discuss running and science 🏃🏻♂️🔬
Today let’s consider running opportunities at Monte Terminillo which is located near Rieti (central Italy) and is 2217m height. I went there for a stunning 20km autumnal hilly long run 🏃🏻♂️🍂🍁 Despite in the pic above I’m into a wood I run on the road and the course was full of impressive panoramas thanks to the autumn foliage ⛰
It's logistically good to start running or hiking from Pian De’ Valli (1625m) and then explore the nearby area.
I'll be back soon with a new post related to the description of autumn foliage from a scientific point of view!

And finally 21 K is done.
Thx for Hyatt Pink Ribbon 2018. Alasan ikut event ini karena ketertarikan running track yang menunjukkan keindahan kota jogja, juga terdapat kepedulian untuk para penderita kanker dan di sini juga saya menguji kemampuan diri dlm berlari untuk naik level... #hyattpinkribbon#happyrunning#longrun#finish21k#finisher
Kick that pain on the top of your foot 👟. Here’s the easiest way to ease off of that troublesome pressure point:
1. Lace up just until the start of the pressure point then Stop 🛑
2. Don’t cross laces and instead lace straight up to the next eyelet and then cross the laces over.
3. Finish lacing the rest of the shoe normally. 👋🏼 Buh-Bye foot pain

A little #TBT action for you today. On the left is me racing a 1500m in spring of 2013. I was running for my university, probably 50-60 high-intensity miles with an additional 200-300 cross training minutes a week. I loved running, it was super therapeutic for me. However, my freshman year of college I struggled with injury, which led to depression, which essentially led to more injury and it was a vicious cycle. I wasn’t enjoying my training, I really wasn’t enjoying my life. I felt like I was putting in SO much work and effort, and wasn’t racing well at all, but I kept pushing and pushing and pushing until eventually I broke and I walked away from the sport entirely. •
For about 3 years I barely even thought about running; I would go for a jog here and there but didn’t worry about getting super competitive. I put my energy into music, did some dope shit, toured the States, Canada, China and Australia, and focused on getting my head right. Then about a year ago, following my last tour with my previous band, Conveyer, I decided to give running a fair shot again. It was a slow start, but eventually I fell back in love with the sport. Fast forward to May 2018, and I HAPPILY ran my first marathon pictured on the right.
I don’t want to get preachy or sentimental, but mental health is important. If something you love is causing you a boat load of stress and making you hate LITERALLY everything, IT’S OKAY TO TAKE A STEP BACK. I’m so thankful that I quit when I did, otherwise I don’t know if I would be a) running, b) happy, or c) alive right now.
Thank you for your time. I’ll post a workout update later maybe.
woke up crying and not wanting to run. thought about deferring my registration for the marathon in december. i don’t really run with music anymore but today i felt like i needed a little extra help. but i couldn’t even find my earbuds. cough was worse than usual and wouldn’t stop, sharp shin pain was back, thoughts were loud - the mental was the hardest thing to fight. reminder: this isn’t something you have to do - this is something you *get* to do
school anxiety is very bad right now. trying to be grateful. at the beginning of training in august, it woulda been a push, but i was on track to run a sub 4 (under 4 hrs/~9:07 mi avg x 26.2 mi) marathon - that was my A goal. it’s ok kimi. choosing to be grateful that this pain is something i can even feel. paces have been slower than what they were but i’m going to choose to be happy that at least this run was under 9 min mi avg. one day at a time
Doin’ a lil throwback to these apple 🍎 peanut butter oats since half of today’s breakfast ended up on the kitchen counter 🙃 Fresh picked apples are one of my favorite fall flavors and I can’t wait to load up on some this weekend — weather pending! I added half a @nugonutrition slim bar to get some extra protein for those gains 💪🏻 and it was the best decision ever! GIMMIE. ALL. THE. PLANT. PROTEIN.
Running update ➡️ I still have some lingering tendonitis pain (trying something new for that tonight ✨🛁) but have been logging my miles and getting ready for the #RichmondHalf 🏃🏼♀️
🚨ISO long run buddy early af Friday morning!🚨
