When I started this account, I didn't want to focus on dessert but somehow I end up posting too many them 😂 This is Tarte Tatin from Evelyn's table. I don't usually order dessert when I dine out (trust me) but this dish was recommended by the restaurant so I gave it a try and I wasn't disappointed. The combination of warm caramelized apple, crunchy pastry and ice cream is so amazing 😭 I have been trying Tarte Tatin from other places after the visit but nothing beats one from Evelyn's table!
I also enjoyed other dishes and the atmosphere there. There aren't that many seats and I got to see the cooking right in front of me, such a memorable experience.

My 2nd visit to the @thecloveclub and this one only confirmed what I believed I already knew? That this is at its core? Is a neighborhood place. Yes, it’s Michelin star and top-50 ranking create high expectations- but for all intents and purposes? This is a place that fits its neighborhood expertly and does not strive to be more than that. I say that with the respect you would have for something that is world class in every way! But the most impressive thing that I feel as a guest of the restaurant is a sense of welcome, of belonging. From the handwritten card to the extended menu and the conversations about the origins of food and drink… It is obvious that each person in this place cares deeply about the guest experience. The food is world class and features expressions of product like local grouse and wild trout that one simply doesn’t find on menus around town. Summer vegetables are not just a sideline but rather stars in their own right, demanding attention with their care and presentations. The chicken course alone is a meal. Multiple preparations of the bird are delivered and served in unexpected ways. Think chicken skin chicharron dipped in spiced chicken fat emulsion , 100 day breast infused with summer truffle and a broth fresh from heaven that appears to have been reducing on the stove since at least last summer. The expressions of a humble bird are ultimately? Magic. Clove Club is insanely difficult to book into, It is much talked about and hotly debated… But this much is clear? It has a firm hold on the number one position in the U.K. 🇬🇧 and my sense is that it will be relevant and a taste maker for years to come. Incredible thanks to Chef Issac, Johnny, Eduardo, William and all of the Team who helped make my visit so special. It was a pleasure to share an evening with you and I thank you for the warmth and sincerity shared with a traveler who is a long way from home. I say simply, very simply? Bravo. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 #thecloveclub#londondining#50bestrestaurants#michelinstar#londoneats#unique#finedining#delicious#popupdonegood @ollie211088 @its_isaac
HIDE Above Tasting Menu 🍷
Starters and desserts presented a delightful gastronomical mouthful. Mains failed to be anything more what you could get at standard prices.
Overall this place is worth a shot!
