Fatigue setting in heavy. Supposed to triple 605 today but ended up hitting 605 2x2 and then backed down to 545 4x3. Accessories followed. Much leg pain #1733 Considering this is the first time I’ve hit more than a single at more than 600 lbs in training, I’m happy.
Tim & I advanced, on the @timredasurfboards log...into the quarterfinals @wsl @rinconsurffest tomorrow! Fun first day of the contest; I especially enjoyed my solo/duo session w/ Nat Young, in the rain, after the contest 🙌🏻 PC Dave Barry
Great clean and heaps of pressing power, but the weight went behind @dbwlifts and he got away to lift another day.

Success rarely comes without failure... Log lift. Third attempt. 147 kg (324.1 lb). I got a lot of speed on the push, but committed too much force towards my back. I had to bail and tried to get away from the log, but it tagged me on the way down.
Thankfully, the log grazed my arm and rolled off my back. I was able to get a sample spray from @freazethepain which helped heat up my back. @simmons_strength let me borrow his percussion massaging machine and my back felt much better. I was able to finish the day with no pain. Thanks for the help, guys!
I woke up with pain in my right shoulder, but am hoping it goes away with a couple days of ibuprofen therapy.
Finally got a chance to go out last night, ended at a cute bar with logs on the wall, weirdly it reminded me of home. Also, this Russian man with a translator on his phone kept trying to talk to me and I kept telling him No! 🙅🏼♀️ He wouldn’t listen and kept petting my hair/head. It took everything I had not to hit a grown man. I’ll tell you, a bunch of weirdos in this town...haha makes for good stories tho 💁🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️😂
