Saowah is a wood artist from Accra. I had the opportunity to meet him, his family, and his extraordinary workshop. He designs and creates personalized caskets according to the person’s former profession or hobbies. Saowah learned from his father and now he is teaching others in order to expand his own business. In Ghana, when someone passes away, it’s a very special celebration, full of several events that can last between one week and up to 5 years before the person is finally burried. Funerals are the best places to socialize and meet your future husband/wife because everyone can attend to any funeral. Casket elaboration is a huge business since it is considered a disgrace not to prepare a decent funeral to all your family members. -

Dużo dzieci zamiast iść rano do szkoły wyrusza do pracy.
Most of people propably think that living in such beautiful place like Zanzibar must be like in paradise. However truth is completly different. A lot of people live here with limited access to drinking water in crumbling shacks or mud huts.
Many children instead of going to school in the morning go to work.
I admire those women. They work so hard that many of our modern „men” would’t be able to handle it.
Experience that I gained in Tanzania will change my attitude to live forever.
Stop complaining and appreciate what you have!
