My second round of mentoring students started their 6 week block today of the FOOD & THE SHAMANIC PATH MENTORING PROGRAMME right on winter solstice ❄️ we created safe sacred space, and began our journey together around principles of spiritual nutrition & a deeper understanding of energy from a macro & micro perspective! Oh and we had this @rawkiflow nourishing love bowl for lunch 😋

Sprouting! If you want to feel alive and energetic, eat living food with life energy! If you're not up for gardening, you can easily take up sprouting in your kitchen. These are mung bean sprouts. Simply place in a jar, soak in water overnight then drain and rinse every day until sprouted (2-3 days) then eat! So nutritious, anti-inflammatory, can just grab and eat for a snack or add to salads and cooking. You can sprout most grains, legumes and seeds - ideally organic and grown in Australia (or local to where you are - so they haven't been chemical or heat treated on importing) buckwheat, quinoa, lentils and sunflower seeds all sprout well - if you have any of these in your pantry, try it now! In 2-5 days you'll have living fresh sprouts to munch on 😃
RETHINKING SUN EXPOSURE
What if sunscreen and avoiding daylight is contributing to the very disease we’re trying to avoid?

OK, so it’s not really a thing (or is it?! 🤷🏽♀️). But I do get asked a lot, “What is the BEST DIET?” And to that I answer, “It depends.”
👉🏽 What are your goals? Are they realistic, considering your lifestyle and priorities at the moment? What are you WILLING to eat/ not eat? What has helped you in the past? What is and isn’t working about your diet right now?
👥 How each of our bodies processes foods can be as unique as our personalities. So asking “What is the best diet?” is like asking “What is the best personality?” in a sense. It all depends on our personal preferences.
There are some universal #FoodRules to follow, however (Michael Pollan put it best):

🙌 HEALTHY BROWNIES??! Yes pleaseeee!!! 🙋♀️Being healthy doesn't have to=restriction! It just means we make healthier swaps/choices. Yep, IT'S THAT EASY. 👌When I saw these brownies from @cleanfoodcrush, I knew I had to make them! 😍Here are the dets for these Zucchini Collagen Brownies:
1/3 Cup Peanut Butter or other nut butter🥜
1/4 Cup Honey
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
1/3 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/2 Cup Oats (I used GF)
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tbsp. Collagen (I use @vitalproteins)
1 Cup Shredded Zucchini 🥒
1/4 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips 🍫
Grease 8x8 pan. Use a mixer to blend applesauce, peanut butter, honey, and vanilla. Meanwhile, use food processor to shred oats. After mixing all wet ingredients, combine and mix with all dry. Fold in half the choc chips, pour in pan, top with rest of choc chips, and cook for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
✨I recommend making a double batch lolll because these babies with nottttt last long. Enjoy loves! ✌💓
Eating raw and plant based is an incredible gift to our bodies.
