John, the gentlemen that hosted our tiny house stay, purchased this 300 acres of land on the Androscoggin River. His goal 30 years ago, was to save this land from subdivision and conserve it’s beauty. Today, he has 5 camps-that anyone can rent, gardens, miles and miles of wood trails, bird houses, and beautiful fields. We saw monarch butterflies, wild turkey families, two bald eagles, blue jays and owls. So much wildlife. We camped in a tiny house, with no electricity and running water. We bathed in the river and was almost completely unplugged. We took the canoe out on the river and went fishing. This place was another piece of heaven on earth, and a big thank you to those who conserve our Maine landscapes and share them with us! What a gift to give! 💗
