First acorn on my beautiful, young Live Oak. It weathered Hurricane Florence beautifully. I hope one day, that this slender tree will grow into a gorgeous adult like the one in the 2nd shot in the background on the right side. #liveoaks
Wedding Rock in Patrick’s Point State Park was one of those happy accidents that seem to happen every time @calebrcovington and I travel. We were driving back to our campsite at sunset when I saw a sign for it, and turned on a whim. And I’m glad we did—it ranks in our list of top ten sunsets. 🌅
It's raining acorns!
Thousands upon thousands cover our yard and land.
Living under the abundant acorns and old limbs of oak trees during the fall months is new to us.
We were not here last fall so I’m not sure if this is a repeat of last year or if this year is a “bumper crop”.
I kept waiting for it to happen and it finally did. I can know say I know what it feels like to be pelted on top of the head by acorns. 😂
