Not to be gory, but science has shown that blood has a frequency... Jesus's blood, shed, of one who had no blemish, no fault, no sin, who is wholeness; the one who came to save the world in health, in spirit, in mind, body, and relationship, to show this is how we do it. In the shedding of his blood, he changed the sound and he changed the frequency!

RSAD #4 -You can’t cheer me up - because I’m not sad
In July of 2008, I was sitting at a conference with friends. My smile was on my face, but RSAD was in full effect. At that time however I had no idea what was wrong with me. Suddenly, almost with no warning, my brain had enough and I started crying. FOR.NO.REASON. If you get upset seeing someone else cry…let me tell you how upsetting it is to be the one crying and not be able to control it and not have a reason.
We were towards the end of the conference day, I skipped out on the evening events and went home and kept crying. I cried myself to sleep, woke up in the night crying, and was crying when I woke up the next morning. My face was a beautiful picture let me assure you. YIKES!
I got to my doctors office and it was there that I first understood the term “depression”. It would not be until a couple years later that we would recognize the pattern of my depression and I would be diagnosed with RSAD.
The rest of that week, everyone tried to cheer me up. They tried to help by telling me to “think positive” and to “count my blessings." The problem is - I didn’t need cheering up. I was not sad I was SAD and all the positive thoughts in the world were not going to cure that. There are ways to help the brain through positive affirmations - I am a full believer in this…but they do not work to pull me out of a SAD cycle.
Why the tears? For me they are the body’s natural release. For others it is manifested in different ways, but for many it is tears. While you can see the tears, what you can’t see is physically I feel like someone put a lead vest on me and I can’t get it off. My body is heavy and every thing is an extra effort. All of my senses are heightened and I am hypersensitive to everything - noises are too loud, food smells are pungent, and humidity like today’s makes me feel like I am going to drown as a breathe. All focus and concentration is on not reacting to these things, making even the simplest task feel insurmountable.
Coming up next: Coping mechanisms
1. Serve veggies FIRST (before the fries & chicken) before they’re “too full.” 2. Make veggies FUN. Try different recipes. Bake/grill/roast them instead of boiling and leaving them plain. Season them, pair them with sauces or other foods. Mix them into a dish subtly (cauliflower pizza)
3. STOP BOILING YOUR VEGGIES PLAIN. Mushy veggies are gross. Change the way you cook then.
4. Mix a smoothie with fruit and sneak veggies in there (kale/spinach/cauliflower.. Blends well & can’t even taste it)
5. When packing school or camp lunches, get them involved in the packing and prep portion. It’s fun!
6. Presentation is IMPORTANT. (It’s not just for your instagram posts guys, sorry.) Looking at their plate or inside their lunch to find visually appealing food increases desire to eat said food. Make it colorful & creative. Aim for a rainbow of colors from fruits & veggies!
7. Make TINY swaps every grocery trip. Instead of Oreos, buy the organic cookies. They’re still cookies but it’s a step in the right direction!
8. Ditch the cereal for breakfast. I challenge you to look at all of your cereal box labels. Does sugar appear in the first 3 ingredients on every box? (Unless it’s plain AF, it probably is packed with sugar)
My 2 cents on #internationalyogaday .
I do NOT practice yoga regularly.
However, I'd love to learn more.
I started out thinking that it's too slow and boring. This idea couldn't be more misplaced. One of the things that I've come to learn is that Yoga is probably one of the most holistic ways of nurturing one's mind, body and soul. .
Much like in life, it's what you make of it - fun or boring. It's always a choice.
P.S. I ♥️ this 🐒 business. Acro Yoga has introduced me to some of the best people in my life.
A poem for @glochou.
Unity doesn’t need
to mean uniformity.
We are interwoven
Vibrant threads of kindness
hold us all together
and make us stronger.
Let’s bring out
the best versions
of one another.
I am because you

Y O G A 🔆🧘🏻♀️🙏🏼! Yoga has been a huge part of my life since I was a freshman in college. Back when I was 18, I was overweight and had horrible eating habits 🤢. Then I found yoga in my college rec center—and it TOTALLY CHANGED MY LIFE. From then on (and 10 years later), I am a huge advocate for the practice 🌸. Not only does practicing yoga help me become more flexible and insightful about my health, it keeps me focused on mindful meditation and self-love ❤️. Yoga is not about competition or stereotypes, but promotes, protects, and loves all bodies, stages, and minds. In any walk of life you’re in, please take a chance on it! Namaslay the work day and HAPPY INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY! #internationalyogaday#yogi#yoga#namaslay

Cheerios are NOT good for your heart OR cholesterol !! Did you know, the FDA at one time told them that they had to take down their slogans on the box about helping with Heart Health and Cholesterol !! Don't believe everything you see on these products !!

Look how beautiful and colorful Jen looked at our summer collection launch party last week! All anyone could talk about was how her top matched the jewelry so perfectly. She swears she didn't buy it just to match the new collection- but I think the colors were just in her brain after spending so much time around all of this pink, yellow, and green jewelry! That palm print is all the rage this season, so the green in our collection is right on trend!
When you decide to follow your intuition and really go for your passions and dreams, in my case starting my own online business, you will most likely hit a period where you try, you try and you try, but nothing works. Sounds familiar? 😏
But you need to keep trying and keep seeking because then sometimes in the least expected place and time it will finally happen. Out of nowhere it will all come togegther and THAT will make it all worth it!
I really think thay miraculous turns of fate happens to those who persists! So keep going guys! ✌😊
What would you be doing if you knew you couldn’t fail? 🤔
If you knew you could still make ends meet?
If you could wake up every day fulfilled and happy?
Hopefully, the answer is - I’M ALREADY DOING IT #livingmybestlife 🙌🏻
But if you’re like us, there may be a lot of unknowns. A lot of great ideas 💡 and passions that sometimes feel confined by what you “should do”.
The job with the pension. The job with security. The job where you KNOW you’ll make that mortgage payment.
But what if that’s not enough? What if the good job, isn’t so good for you. Or maybe it is, but you want MORE.
We know these feelings all too well, but we are #grateful to be on a new path that is more aligned with our purpose.
The future bright. The future is yours. How will you shape it? 👇🏼
#tbt to that time I was staying with a host family teaching in the mountains on the border of Italy and Switzerland.
It was exciting and new but also scary and isolating not being to communicate how I was feeling due to the language barriers and being professional. I was so grateful to have a friend at the school I was teaching at though, we would spend our lunch hour sharing all our food and laughing. It made feel good knowing I had this connection with someone, it was like little bit of home in be middle of the mountains 🏔
Post 6 Essential Oils & Fitness Lunchtime Series: Easy Breathing
Because there is such a wide variety of essential oils, and because each oil has a unique chemistry and set of benefits, there are many uses of essential oils for fitness.
Proper breathing is a vital part of any type of physical activity.
The following essential oils can be applied to the chest to help feelings of clear and calm breathing while you exercise.
can be applied during your workout:
- Douglas Fir;
- Peppermint or my favourite
- Easy Air Blend -
I used Easy Air when I commenced running again after 2 years hiatus. It made all the difference in my breathing... nice clear, cool, easy breathing. When exercising indoors I like to diffuse this blend for its aromatic benefits.
Has this series peaked your interest yet? Can you see how many benefits essential oils add to a workout and healthy living routine?
I would be happy to chat with you, just message me and I will be in contact. :-) :-) Tomorrow’s post: Post Workout Massage
