I used to get Sunday night blues a lot, particularly before a stressful week, or after a school holiday. However, I find myself using the phrase "a Sunday well spent brings a week of content" more and more these days; I think it's definitely true that having a few weekend rituals really makes Monday mornings less brutal! It's a true November day here today; misty, drizzly and grey...good thing I have a whole catalogue of incredible autumnal tones to look back on from the weekend 🍁
They were whining and bickering at home yesterday so pretty late in the day we decided to get off our bums and go for a walk. The difference in them was unbelievable...... laughing, chatting exploring, helping each other. It's what they needed. 💕🏞️
As Sunday mornings go, exploring a pumpkin farm in the glorious autumn sunshine is pretty high on my list of lovely things to do. This gorgeous cheeky girl stole my heart, kicking off her boots to walk barefoot in the mud and picking up the biggest, heaviest pumpkins she could find! Olive girl, you can model for me anytime 😉 Thanks so much @life_with_oaksandolive for letting me borrow your beautiful family 🎃 I think pumpkin field sessions are my new favourite ♡
The in-between moments are the ones most worthy of being captured ♡
Family photography doesn't have to look the way we think it should; it's about catching those little moments we might otherwise forget in the years to come. Get in touch if you'd like me to help you create a collection of images to really remember these special days by. What makes your family unique?
Making the most of these late-September hazy days with a trip to somewhere incredible...the original inspiration for Tolkien's Hobbit holes in The Shire. A truly beautiful day in Middle England ♡
If anyone would like a shoot here...let me know! Some locations are just so seriously magical 🌿
It’s always lovely to see a new kidswear brand launching and I love to support small brands. Especially when they’re as beautiful as @thefarawaygang. A new unisex British made knitwear brand for 4-7 year-olds. The jumpers are bright & playful but not TOO primary! I love the heritage but whimsical, enchanting vibe.
Just to warn you, they’re not cheap. £75 a pop. But they are beautifully made (by a former knitwear designer) so last/wash well etc etc AND can then be passed down to siblings. That how I’m going to justify it anyway...
We donned the gumboots today as the recent rains had made everything a little muddy. What delight can be found in the simplest of things. Observing the relationships between sounds and movement, as pebbles splashed and water trickled. We searched for little critters, built bridges for the water fairies, and giggled with delight as leaves were tossed into the stream and taken away. Nature play awakens our senses and builds our connection to the earth and our world around us.
A @sunshinecoastcouncil worker saw this little duckling’s mama and papa get hit by a car today on their way to Russell Family Park in Montville. They told one of our nana’s the story who offered to take it to the vet for them to find a care as they were on the job. Our Little Wildlings felt very sad for the little duckling but came up with some beautiful ideas on how we could look after it and how we need to be mindful of wildlife when we’re driving. Natural learning at its best (and saddest). We also painted some rocks for the kids to drop around the Coast as part of @sunshinecoastrocks @qld_rocks_ . You can join their pages on Facebook to find the details on how to join the statewide treasure hunt. And we ended with some parachute play and song and story-time on the @sclibraries story seat. FUN! PS. Russell Family Park is looking stunning after all the carpark and garden upgrades. Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻@sunshinecoastcouncil #storyseat#sclibrary#sclibrarykids#sclibrariesrock#sunshinecoastcouncil#russellfamilypark @montvillechamber @visitmontville @montvillevillage @visitsunshinecoast @visitsunshinecoasthinterland #wildlingsforestschool#littlewildlings#littlewildlingsnatureplaygroup#hinterland
Wild Horses - B had her first horse experience yesterday, she loved it. this little one is turning into such a fearless child and i love it!
What i didn't love was the nearby vintage sports car revving their engines and nearly making all the ponies bolt 🤦🏼♀️
