Here’s a little Planet I took high above the Leuser Eco System... Writing credit Robbie Hairfield & Paul Hilton my partners on this epic trip. We NEED to protect this while we still can. Please sign the petition is Paul’s bio... @Robbieswildlife:
You are looking at pristine lowland rainforest in the heart of the #LeuserEcosystem ❤
This is THE LAST place on earth where you have Tigers, Elephants, Rhinos, Orangutans, Leopards and Pangolins living in the same ecosystem, the last place on earth 🌏
It’s so incredibly important that we protect it. & Let me tell you.. it was quite the adventure to get here, to our knowledge we are the first foreigners to ever have made it to this point.. this deep in the jungles of the Leuser in order to get this imagery, so we can share it with the world.
We finally made it onto the proposed Tampur hydro - dam site. After many hours on the road, we arrived at the small village of Lesten, from there we took small boats/ dugout canoes 🛶 to the area that would be flooded, and what I witnessed was some of the most pristine lowland forest that I’ve ever seen, in the Leuser Ecosystem.
This image shows the north/south migration corridor for the critically endangered Sumatra elephants, all this will be underwater. We can’t let this happen, sign the link in my bio and help us stand strong in the face of so called progress.
Tested the @insta360 one with starry skies and tiny planet edit this past weekend up in Frazier Park. Its ok I guess. Maybe I need somewhere darker. I'm also noticing one side has a different white balance than the other. Maybe when I try it next time, I'll manually set the WB. Sucks that the camera favors iOS over Android though -_-. #insta360one#stars#littleplanet#tinyplanet#somaticstudios
