First frost of the season.
My younger Texans thought it was snow when they first stepped out. But it’s okay. I grew up in Florida and I used to think the same growing up.
I've officially run out of pumpkins so that's my last post about it. Does it mark the start of Christmas for me? A little bit, since Michael Buble has been stuck in my head on repeat today. All I've got left to do now is get myself down to HomeSense and that might be the last thing I need to get into the Christmas fever. And, quite possibly, avoid my boyfriend for about a month since his 'It's only November' spoils the fun a little bit 😂😍
Saree day with a twist..
Mai bachpan se hi aisi thi..😈😇 Once upon a time I was this grumpy little thing who would throw a lot of tantrums for everything apart from dressing up.. My mom loved dressing me up and I was ever ready for it. I still love dressing up, but you know where I got it from 😎
Photograph 1 is a Maharashtrian saree customized for little girls. My mom still has kept it safe for the next generation.
Photograph 2 is a traditional Shada saree laal paar(white saree with red border) Bengali Taant Saree which belonged to my grandmother & my mum had folded to drape it for me. It was a fancy dress competition and my mom trained me enact an elderly lady who has asthma and is frustrated with life and expresses herself in a very funny way. Well I bagged the 2nd position for this one 😊.
At the end of a tiring day while drafting this post, I can still smile..some day I will drape this green saree on my daughter😊 Aah the little joys of life.
