El Nido by @thelakwatsero - SIBALTAN | EL NIDO, PALAWAN
On the eastern coast of El Nido is Sibaltan, a coastal village which for years has become a haven for backpackers, a secret escape for those who prefer to stay away from the crowd, experience a different side of El Nido and explore even beyond.
Sibaltan is an idyllic and laid back community blessed with beautiful view of sunrise, rich waters and panoramic seascape. It also serves as gateway to the untrodden white sand islands and beaches of Linapacan such as Maosonon, Little Maosonon, Magransing, Pical, Binulbulan, Batas and more.
There is no easy way of getting to Sibaltan, but the extra efforts will be rewarded with extra miles of unparalleled experience.
How to Get to Sibaltan:
Make your way to El Nido, where public vans and jeepneys travel to Sibaltan. There are usually two schedules, one in the morning at around 10AM and in the afternoon at around 3PM, travel time is around one (1) hour and fare is P100.
I used Sony RX100V camera for this. But you can do astrophotography with any camera (even point and shoot) that supports manual mode with aperture of f/2.8 or lower, set it to long exposure of around 25” to 30” and ISO of 400 to 1600 or higher. Oh, use a mobile app to locate the Milky Way. And yes, 30 seconds akong di kumilos dyan. 😂
