Spaghetti with a homemade tomato minced meat sauce! I try to avoid using the oven on long, hot summer days since it tends to make the house extremely hot. So this is perfect for those days, plus it's quick, easy, and can be cooked ahead of time!
While you make the sauce, let the salted water come to a boil and cook your pasta (saves time)
For the sauce:
On medium heat, add olive oil into a skillet with the minced meat.
Once the meat has browned and cooked half way through, add in finely chopped onions, garlic, and green hot pepper. Feel free to add mushrooms or bellpeppers if you like veggies in your spaghetti 🤗
Spice the meat mixture with salt, pepper, all spice and oregano
Now add in homemade tomato sauce or canned tomato sauce to the meat.
Add in 1 tablespoon of sugar
Cover and let the entire mixture come to a boil.
And that's it :) For a yummier texture, place the spaghetti once mixed with the sauce into a pirex pan and broil it in the oven for a few minutes till the top is golden brown and crisp 😍
