Day 9 run streak
Nov miles = 24.04 Pic 1) after my run pic 2) after my workout! Chest and tris are spent. Burnt out. Will be of no use for days! Y running is feeling good because even though it’s not long distance I am seeing improvement.
And, I went and got my hair did. I started the process on Thursday. I had about 11” cut off and had the heck bleached out of it. But it was a bright yellow. But to do more at that time would have been harmful. We let it rest until today and then did a pearl toner on it. It has a lot more silver than you can see in the pic. I am so thankful I found truly good hair care that’s with the money. My hair stylist commented that she loves it. With anything else my hair would have been very damaged from all the processing. Thank goodness for it because I LOVE IT!!
Feeling good all around despite the rainy weather we’ve been having.
2018 has been the worst year of my life to date. It has been a year of loss and rejection. I have finally come to the point that I realize all I can control is how I approach it. I have been finding myself drawn to a few things in particular:
1. My faith in God to see me through these times. I have felt a greater sense of closeness to God once I was able to push past the frustration of the struggle.
2. My wife and partner in life, Cindy Kendrick Wells. We seem to excel together and struggle together. Lately we have chosen to excel, and I think this year has reminded us that we need each other more and more as time moves along. One cannot overvalue the support of a spouse.
3. My fitness journey. The abyss I allowed myself to enter this year has seen me add too many lost pounds back to my body. I have been rediscovering the good habits that enabled me to find my grand prize results four years ago. I have been following the guidance of @joelfreemanfitness and his LIIFT4 program.

No matter what life throws at us, we can choose to see it in a better light and persevere through the challenges. Liift 4 day 1! It felt amazing and I am beyond excited to see what my body is capable of in the next 8 weeks! So grateful that my body was ready to push through a workout even with an afternoon of stomach pain ❤️ Can’t wait for day 2!

The main way they are learning is by watching and listening! (soooo yeah, I’ve definitely had to “check myself” if I get a little crabby because I can see my choice of words and actions bite me in the you know what 🙈)
These two are usually sleeping still when I do my workouts but every once in awhile we get it done together. I would be lying if I said I didn’t reeeeally enjoy my alone time when I exercise but shouldn’t they actually see with their own eyes what I do to stay active and take care of myself?
Some days it takes a little more reminding than others but they truly are my reason WHY I place an importance on my health. I want to be around for as long as possible.
Whatever your reasons why, it can only benefit you and those around you to prioritize your health... physical and mental!

There are a couple very important non-scale victories right here. .
1) I skipped my workout this morning and had pretty much talked myself into just saying screw it for the whole day... until I didn’t. After compiling every excuse I could think of, I decided to just put on my pajamas and be done with it. Only instead of opening my dresser drawer and grabbing my comfy pants I grabbed my workout clothes.
I turned off my brain and just went through the motions to do what I needed to do.
So very thankful that somewhere inside me I chose not to quit today.
2) This move!!!! I could not do this move and honestlywas afraid to try it. There is something about lifting both feet off the ground even a few inches that makes me feel like I’m going to fall because I’m not strong enough to hold myself up. Not tonight my friends. Not tonight. 💪🏻

Oh how I wish I could never get a migraine again. I feel like I’ve been getting them more frequent than usual lately. BUT at least that also means I’m getting used to pushing through a workout with them?(Trying to be positive 😂) I did the first day of #liift4 today and then finished with yoga from #21dayfixextreme ! A new week means setting new goals for myself personally, professionally, and spiritually. I spent my day off pouring my heart into my coaching business, signing up new challengers and coaches, and catching up on grad school stuff. •
Trust me, I thought I was “too busy” too. I thought this work was silly and meaningless. And here I am, making a side income and growing in my own health and wellness journey while connecting with like minded & passionate ladies. Does it get any better? 💕
6 days into this migraine headache bullshit and I said fuck it and did my workout... I can’t keep letting it dictate my life. Now to take all the medicines, shower, and rest properly. A girl has goals. #liift4#girlswholift#homegym
LIIFT intervals are my favorite!💪🏻💙 Finding a love for lifting heavy, but I am so happy when it’s time to add the HIIT exercises in! Still not lifting “heavy”, but I’m happy with the definition in my arms just the way they are!🏋🏻♀️

I always start something and I never been able to stick to it. I’ve made excuses, quit part way through, even self-sabotaged by eating food that I knew would derail my progress. I committed to trying #80dayobsession last March and I was so proud of myself when I finished the program... but when the program ended I planned to start again but life got in the way and I let myself indulge in old habits... A few weeks ago @three.2.one.fitness encouraged me to try Liift4... I decided to give it a try and completely fell in love with these workouts!! I am focusing on my accomplishments and taking one day at a time!
Guess who had to up her weights again? Yep! I did. So proud of the strength I've gained over the last 3 weeks. W3D1 in the books. My arms already feel like jello. But in 5ish weeks, I know it will all be worth it.

Chest and Back day circuit style! I really pushed myself today so we will see how sore I’ll be tomorrow 😂 - Normally today is my rest day but since I’m going to be a #hunterwidow starting Wednesday I gotta move my rest days.
