Day 9 run streak

Nov miles = 24.04  Pic 1) after my run pic 2) after my workout!  Chest and tris are spent.  Burnt out.  Will be of no use for days! Y running is feeling good because even though it’s not long distance I am seeing improvement.
And, I went and got my hair did.  I started the process on Thursday.  I had about 11” cut off and had the heck bleached out of it.  But it was a bright yellow.  But to do more at that time would have been harmful.  We let it rest until today and then did a pearl toner on it. It has a lot more silver than you can see in the pic. I am so thankful I found truly good hair care that’s with the money.  My hair stylist commented that she loves it.  With anything else my hair would have been very damaged from all the processing.  Thank goodness for it because I LOVE IT!!

2018 has been the worst year of my life to date.  It has been a year of loss and rejection.  I have finally come to the point that I realize all I can control is how I approach it.  I have been finding myself drawn to a few things in particular:
1.  My faith in God to see me through these times.  I have felt a greater sense of closeness to God once I was able to push past the frustration of the struggle.
2.  My wife and partner in life, Cindy Kendrick Wells.  We seem to excel together and struggle together.  Lately we have chosen to excel, and I think this year has reminded us that we need each other more and more as time moves along.  One cannot overvalue the support of a spouse.
3.  My fitness journey.  The abyss I allowed myself to enter this year has seen me add too many lost pounds back to my body.  I have been rediscovering the good habits that enabled me to find my grand prize results four years ago.  I have been following the guidance of @joelfreemanfitness and his LIIFT4 program.
@breannefreeman I am tagging you here to hold myself accountable for this post and pledge.  I am going to make Joel proud!! No matter what life throws at us, we can choose to see it in a better light and persevere through the challenges. Round 2, phase 2! Starts today! Phase 1 brought me down 2.4 lbs, and down a total of 6 inches ☺️ my girl gang is kicking some major butt too! My girls are down anywhere from 5-7 lbs and inches galore, and that’s only half way through their program if they are doing LIIFT4 and 1/3 of the way if they are doing 80 day obsession! I couldn’t be more proud of them all! These two are usually sleeping still when I do my workouts but every once in awhile we get it done together. I would be lying if I said I didn’t reeeeally enjoy my alone time when I exercise but shouldn’t they actually see with their own eyes what I do to stay active and take care of myself?

There are a couple very important non-scale victories right here. .
1) I skipped my workout this morning and had pretty much talked myself into just saying screw it for the whole day... until I didn’t. After compiling every excuse I could think of, I decided to just put on my pajamas and be done with it. Only instead of opening my dresser drawer and grabbing my comfy pants I grabbed my workout clothes.
I turned off my brain and just went through the motions to do what I needed to do.
So very thankful that somewhere inside me I chose not to quit today.

2) This move!!!! I could not do this move and honestlywas afraid to try it. There is something about lifting both feet off the ground even a few inches that makes me feel like I’m going to fall because I’m not strong enough to hold myself up. Not tonight my friends. Not tonight. 💪🏻

Something I do in the winter is bowl. I’ve been bowling a long time and have a good time at league and tournaments and stuff.

This year I signed up for every other Sunday at 4...and then they needed a person for the 1pm shift too. So now I’m bowling 6 games every other Sunday. 
SO that means, every other Monday I am sooorrreee af. Right shoulder and left leg are hating me. In the past I would have accepted that as a workout meaning I could slack one day. NOPE. I did it. And upped weights. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 .

🎉🎉 Celebrating my NSV (non-scale victory) tonight.  Just a reminder the number on the scale isn’t everything!! I had blood work💉💉 done on Friday, and this morning I got the results. 🥁🥁 My overall cholesterol went DOWN  53 pts! Holy shit 🙀🙀 I didn’t even think this was possible in 1 year!! My LDL (the bad stuff) went down 44 pts! 🙀🙀 My numbers weren’t horrible but they were creeping into the red range before.  Don’t forget about the NSVs people!!! Now I must eat this bomb ass fancy grilled cheese I made to celebrate- Gouda, havarti, tomato & avocado. Today... I ate out 
Lunch with coworkers for a birthday 
I chose a healthier option but the salt got me 😏
Swollen fingers 
Bad heart burn 
Gut problems .
Guess what I didn't do today?!? 🤔
I didn't make any excuses 
I came home did my workout and added 3/4 of a mile sprint to warmup 💪
Does this make up for what I ate .. now at 
But it makes me feel better and I kept myself accountable 
Instead of letting feeling like 🤢 be my excuse I pushed myself and then some .
We all have off days and we all have on point days 
Just be sure your balance is more good than bad.. then you're living your best life you can live 🙌❤
