It was lovely to meet everyone from the local community during last week’s Summer Fete on #NorthcoteRoad . We hope you enjoyed our road-beach set up outside #HouseofKillik .
Thank you @sharkyandgeorgeevents for looking after the little ones whilst parents enjoyed drinks under the glorious sun in Battersea.

🚨Culture post!🚨 I spent this past week in Torreón and Gómez Palacio. This has been my 6th tournament in Mexico this year, and each time I go, I get more and more of a cultural experience. I'll briefly explain each picture in order:
1. This family decided to turn their garage into a homemade burger shop! Not only were the burgers about $1.50 USD, but they were also fresh, hand-made, 1/3lb patties, and they tasted delicious!
2. Elote - Mexican corn! Not sure how I haven't tried elote before this trip, but it's a Mexican staple food. Elote is regular corn but with all sorts of ingredients added to it, including, but not limited to: salt, chile powder, butter, cotija, lemon juice or lime juice, and mayonnaise. Muy delicioso!
3. Rumor has is it that when El Chapo escaped from prison, he was told to look for the lit up star in Gomez Palacio to escape authorities. Fun fact: the Gómez Palacio and Torreón areas were once the most dangerous area in Mexico because of the cartels. 👀
4. I'm flying standby from Monterrey to DFW at 6am tomorrow morning. I didn't have a car to make the 4hr drive from Torreón to Monterrey, so this is the bus I took. I didn't think the bus ride would be very glamorous, but for $530 pesos (just $30 USD), it's got all the hook-ups!
Reunited after one week and reminiscing about how we used to do long distance for months - it’s not easy! Thankful to have the flexibility to mostly stay together this summer while we continue the hustle 👊🏻
While working out together is something we both enjoy (most of the time), we spend a lot of time discussing goals, growth, old and new careers, investing, LIFE, and what’s to come. Health and fitness is part of our lifestyle and we love helping others make it part of theirs, but it’s not the only thing that defines us. We want to figure out the best way to help others THRIVE in life (in general), not just in one area. Stay tuned! ✌🏼
If I bake a lot in a week, I typically end up with at least 8 unused egg yolks sitting in my fridge. Hands down, no-churn ice cream is my favorite way to use them all up and eliminate unnecessary food waste. The cherry red-wine swirl is a nice plus, but totally optional. Link in bio for recipe and technique suggestions!
#SummerDay31 - A Celebration of a Life Well Lived
On Saturday, July 21, 2018 I listened to Alderman, Edith Newsome pay tribute to her great friend and awesome mentor, the incomparable, Ms. Jackie Dobbs.
Edie met Ms. Dobbs at the age 16 and Ms. Dobbs mentored, taught, encouraged and showered the Alderman with love, wisdom and understanding non stop.
As Alderman Newsome delivered her tribute to Ms. Dobbs, I realized then, that Ms. Dobbs has played a big part in Edie becoming an Alderman and me an Attorney.
Ms. Jackie Dobbs, a true pioneer, entrepreneur, community leader, visionary and American Hero.
Thank you so very much Ms. Dobbs, you truly made our world a better place.

Solo travel teaches that there is a person who is always with you, which is you 🗺👣🌊
Been struggling with myself lately. Been back from traveling for over 3 months and got another almost 3 months to go until new travels. I always get a bit restless, being home for a long time.

There's just something magic about the evening light here at the mountain farmhouse. Only 3 more sleeps until we say goodbye to one adventure and start a new one. Get ready for all the before and after pictures I've been hoarding.
Happy Saturday, guys! How has your day been? ♥️
It’s a cool 67 degrees here in Glassboro and it’s been raining all day and I’m LOVING it! 😁
We walked SO much yesterday and our legs are sore so we’ve been napping and watching movies after grabbing some brunch earlier. 😌
Now, I’m closing out the evening and watching Jaws since Shark Week starts tomorrow. Anyone else look forward to Shark Week?! 🙋🏻♀️
Oh and here’s my outfit I wore to Cape May yesterday! I had to share since my shorts are now 40% off (under $30) and there are only a few sizes left! You can shop my look on SheSweatsDiamonds.com under the ‘Shop’ tab, DM me for any links or follow me on the @liketoknow.it app:http://liketk.it/2wF7O
