"I'll tickle your toes, I'll check for monsters, I'll show you the stars and teach you how to reach for them"
I love capturing all the small details of a child. They grow so fast and as a mom to two I understand just how much it means to be able to look back at captured moments and be reminded of just how small they actually were. Always capture the small things, often they are the big things 💕
Simple joys like a frothy cafe au lait can bring back such vivid memories of my childhood and make me feel a nostalgia that almost hurts. Do you get that too with certain places, smells or foods? Its almost like someone punches you right in the sentimental heart and time slows as you catch your breathe and briefly relive that time so long ago when everything was beautiful and nothing hurt. And to think it’s all because of a little cup of coffee.
This week has been such a blur but as always I am happily choosing to embrace the California chaos. Even if it means having to remind myself that skipping the laundry or not clipping the baby’s fingernails today is more than okay, and traffic on the 5 is an opportunity for a karaoke session.
It was over six months ago that I last saw Townes, and this little guy has changed! He has tons of baby rolls, the bluest eyes, and the sweetest smile that never disappeared! His playful attitude was so entertaining to capture! Film scans by @richardphotolab #batonrougephotographer
Happy sweet birthday to my lovely friend @hannahroepenack 🌻 the girl who doesn't second think the weird things I make her do for a photo, like scaling the side of a mountain in a flowy dress. And the girl who has the strangest love for her corgi, which is quite contagious...well Han, you know how I feel about you so I don't need to explain too much. But I hope today is the most beautiful and here's to another year! Love you 😘
