I swear to god I am STUCK HERE. #weighinwednesday 🙄
This guy has become an important part of my morning routine. Even though sometimes he hates me for pulling him into my picture, I do not know what I would do without him. 
In the last two weeks we have gone on a morning 5:30am walk almost everyday. He knows the second I start putting on my shoes that we are going on a walk, wiggles his butt, and goes running for the door. .

He doesn’t know that it is not only his favorite start to the day, but it also brings me into a place of peace to start my day off well too. My morning routine has become so important, because when we find that thing that helps us start our day off in the right mindset, we can take on the rest of the day with beautiful positive energy! .

Do you wake up thinking about all of the things you have to get done every morning? Well, I used to too.... and then I decided I was going to allow myself some “me time” by waking up earlier and doing something that fills me up for at least an hour before starting anything. .

My favorite essential oils alternate each season, but right now I cannot get enough of my Pure Jasmine essential oil.  It makes me wild!🤩It’s strong, it’s sweet, it’s romantic.  Jasmine and I have so much in common, if you know me, you’d know that I’m a night-owl and so is this beautiful flower which only blooms at night. 🌱🌼

#workoutwednesday this is obviously before my workout 😂. This is my 2nd week of doing the “extreme” workout version of what I was doing in June. I have had to really push myself at times and let myself rest at other times. When I’m able to push through, it makes me feel strong 💪🏼 and when I let myself rest 😎 I know that I’m listening to my body!  I’m seriously so grateful to be a health coach! But there are also some other really good books out there to explore and I would encourage you to read things that resonate and connect with you.

As @vandanatrivedisyogvan advised if we put information we gain into action it becomes knowledge and wisdom which is a really handy tip especially for the current times we live in. I started my yoga practice this morning with Jon and it was EXACTLY what I needed to re-center...I became more in touch with my body and learned what requires more attention to take better care of myself 🧘‍♀️

I used to think yoga was for people who are too weak or lazy to work out ✋...umm....nope! I couldn't be more incorrect 🚫 yoga is as much of a mental stretch as it is physical...and I learned a couple things about myself during the process:

➡️my flexibility sucks lol something I'm def going to be working on 🤞

➡️my left hip/hip flexor is so tight it feels pinched, so if I want to get my all out of my workouts, I need to stretch this out DAILY👍
.
➡️I found the PERFECT spot to set up my yoga mat outside so I can take in all the nature at my house 🌳🐦🐿🦔🦃🦆🐢🐸🦎🦋

After morning yoga Jon and I went down to our blueberry bushes and picked even more berries...omg we are seriously going to have thousands when they are all ripe 😲 but that's ok, we will freeze them and enjoy them during the winter months ❄🤤

My vacation starts next week but I started my packing list today. It might seem excessive but what can I say? I’m a planner and I enjoy nothing more than knowing I never have to worry about forgetting something I need. A week before vacation, I start incorporating actions in to my schedule so I don’t feel rushed last minute (think: sunscreen shopping, dry cleaning, etc).

Productivity looks different for everyone but I start my day by doing as many things as I can that take under 1 minute to complete. This is one of many versions of the heavily researched One Minute Rule. It boosts my confidence around task completion and immediately helps me feel lighter and competent. Whether that’s responding to emails, running the dishwasher, wiping down the counters- if it takes me less than a minute, I’m doing it first thing.

Are you building a life around what you love? It doesn’t always have to include a career although that is ultimately the dream life isn’t it? 
Doing what we love and being paid for it can seem far fetched and yet it really is obtainable, nevertheless, most of us have commitments and children and mortgages and responsibilities to think about but I have been thinking of ways to incorporate what you love into your daily routines. 
We can easily forget the simple things that make us feel good but as we make our weekly ‘to do list’ we should add them as psychologically speaking, it gives us balance and makes them as important as chores to complete. 
For example, listening to music, reading a chapter of your book, meditating in the morning, ten minutes of affirmations from the blog I just posted via the link, grabbing the family and each saying ten things we love or like about ourselves or each other, going for a walk with no technology (where safe), giving a compliment to someone whilst walking the dog or blessing yourself and everyone you see whilst driving: do anything that makes you feel like you are being kind and or feeling good, daily.

Breaking up our day and balancing what we have to do with what we want to do in small chunks is a great way that I have found makes my overall day feel great and I have found that in being kind to myself and others, in sharing the joy even if it is playing with dog, it gives me tremendous value in how i spend my time.

Furthermore, when we practice this daily, we will bring about a sense of achievement and joy as well as lifting the mood of the household. If we only focus on what we have to do, then it can feel monotonous and never ending and that keeps us feeling stuck! Try and find what you love about every task you do and more love will be drawn to you!

On Monday, I decided to implement Miracle Morning. I am loving starting my day this way and the energy it gives me to get through the rest of the day. LOVING me some nightly Orange Blossom skin routine. 🍊🍊🍊Took these two buddies to Nashville and it was so refreshing to have these while traveling. At home, ive been keeping the face wash in the shower. Only 2 pumps will wash my whole face. Then before bed, top it off with the moisturizer. Again, a little goes a looong way. Freaking obsessed with these two!! I will alternate between my glow roller and the blossoms for the most magical skin!!! Your face will feel cleansed, fresh, with the lightest most heavenly scent.🌿💫🌿

New clients always say to us how eating healthy still isn’t allowing them to ‘lose weight’. Firstly i would say what weight are you losing; water, glycogen stores, muscle or fat? Plan training and nutrition accordingly.

Secondly you can still ‘get overweight’ by eating healthy foods.

Conversely you can get lean eating unhealthy foods so long as you’re in a deficit!

Though your favourite naughty foods (cake, ice cream, sweets etc) will satisfy you psychologically and are needed here and there, eating better quality food (fruit and natural yoghurt as above) is the better choice as they will make you feel fuller as this approach adds volume to your tummy, more vitamins and minerals absorbed and keeps blood sugar levels more stable stopping you from craving more sugary junk foods (physically satisfying).

Can you still lose fat and get in quality shape when eating some shitty foods? Yes, so stop guilt tripping and make space for them in your daily calories if you’re fancying them! I’ve done it as many others have and hit 7% body fat.

Will it make the side effects of cutting harder such as more hunger, lower energy levels, harder to adhere, lower motivation harder? Probably.

If you try to diet and cut ALL treats out. You won’t adhere to it long enough to reap the rewards.

Jetlag has me like😴🧟‍♀️major zombie action going on here.... can’t remember the last time I was this exhausted. But I’m also super excited because Monday I started my new program that’s going to help me shed these summer vacation pounds and build some awesome muscle. Monday was Day 1 and I have to say I’m super excited for what’s to come. The cool thing is that the workouts are just 40 minutes, 4 days a week, leaving me time to do other activities too, or rest my achy muscles! I’m looking for some folks who are ready to go all in with me, who want results and be able to enjoy their summer too. What does that mean? Less time working out, more time for your kids, and the ability to enjoy a summer cheat, guilt free! I’m looking for some ladies who are ready for the accountability to help them make that change they’ve been talking about and talking about and talking about. Are you ready? You with me?? Let’s stop wishing and start doing. Let’s stop waiting for motivation to strike or for ‘tomorrow’ to come.  I’m ready to take this journey TODAY and I’m excited to take you with me!
