Day 1 of the #paleoplusdairy style of eating. I don't like using the term diet because it can give the impression that it's just for a short time but I plan for this to be a revamp of how I eat day to day. The last time I did this style of eating was May 2017 and I'm excited to get back into it. I got derailed by emotional eating and the impracticality of living in an isolated Northern community but now I am ready for take 2.
1 cup Oatmeal made with Butter and 1 cup of Milk
1 tsp Maple Syrup
There will be no prince on a white horse, there will be no money tree. There will be no one standing over you, yanking you out of bed to work out, to remind you to feed your kids, to dust your baseboards and wipe down your appliances. No one is going to clean your toilets or do your laundry. No one is going to force you to pray or meditate or take your vitamins or take your medication or make your bed. No one is going to remind you to wake up early or water your plants. You are that someone. No one else is responsible for anything you do. Are other people sometimes shitty? Absolutely. Do they sometimes hate it when you are actively trying to improve yourself? You bet. But y’all. HEAR ME. What someone else thinks or says about you does not change the truth about you. They can literally say whatever they want. They can think whatever they want. How do you respond and how you take action is 100% up to you. You don’t have to live your life angry and upset. You do not have to feel defeated. Here is your permission to put on your big girl undies and get it done. If you can’t do it all (nobody can), then choose one thing to do And do that single thing until it doesn’t feel like it’s crushing you(that could take a while) and then add another thing. That is how habit is built. That is how you create LASTING SUSTAINABLE change. If you don’t know where to start then just drink enough water today. If your first reaction is to resist and tell me that drinking water is too hard, then you don’t want to do anything harder and come back later and we can talk when you can make the time for yourself to drink enough water. 3 months ago today I went on a 3 mile walk after church. I’ve always thought about dieting and working out. I let fear consume me. “What if I’m the biggest one at the gym? What if I fail?” Looking back I was failing by not even trying, and everyone is at the gym doing their own thing they don’t even care about what you’re doing even if you’re big or small.
I don’t see the weight I’ve lost, but my friend said I need to give myself more credit. It’s true. In the 3 months I’ve set my focus on Jesus and praying on His strength during my time of weakness. I was able to lose 31 lbs.
Anyways, here’s me in a size 18 from target that are kinda loose on me. I tried a 16 and I got my legs in and it’s close to closing. I was originally a size 20-22.
So anyone reading this, whether your goal is to lose weight, Trust in Him, love yourself, or love Him that loves you... don’t let the insecurities make you a prisoner of your own joy. You deserve to be happy. You deserve joy. Don’t let your own thoughts rob you of the life you deserve. 💕

Breakfast this morning to start this week off RIGHT! This lady lady was ignited by yesterday morning's sermon, and she's ready to tackle her gluttony and overspending. We all sin, and I have 3 big ones that are a daily issue for me that I need to work on. Going to show Jesus that I am indeed grateful and aware and believe what he did for all of us by continuing to better myself. Also including some more "memory" pics because although at first glance they are painful for me to admit what we lost and went through, they are also photos of one of the biggest personal growing training grounds of Chris and my entire lives. The first pic is of us this week last year after saving boatloads of cash to lay our new subfloor and hardwood floors in our little 390 square foot tiny house in the coutryside. We had 5 acres of beautiful land and a fleet of dump trucks full of problems. The second pic is of the same week 2 years ago when we were finished framing our bathroom and were working in drywall. We built the entire kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom in that tiny home. Even though we lost all of it, I promise you we learned more than we let go. God's lessons are not easy ones. He gives a hard love, but its an everlasting love. And I am looking back today only long enough to thank Him for teaching us so many things during those difficult 2 years, because it made us strong enough to begin this journey we are both on today. So happy Monday everyone! Yes, I said happy! God is ohb the business of miracles.... He is asking me for preparation and obedience and I'm willing giving to him what he is desiring. I know the plans he says, so why would I think im capable alone to make this happen. Im surrendering not to decide but because I want Gods anointing on my life that souls are being brought to the kingdom simply because im choosing to live out my purpose for the kingdom. To think I was afraid of what God had in store for me anticipating my life ending once his will was done. And now he is telling me to give him these next 4 years so my life can truly begin........ I'll be 40 and I senses every word that was spoken over my life taking place. So much has been transpiring from my sin to my obedience. Im done being insane, this flesh will not prevail for the more im in christ the more he is in me. This world is not my home. My God is a miracle maker. I will be healed by the blood. The enemy has tried to take my voice for years of my life and I've lost him silence me, but not anymore. Watch my God work.

This #weightlossjourney has been forever changing. Changing up my workouts, my meals, when I eat, how much I eat, how much I drink, and SO much more that I’ve been doing since January to get to where I am now. This next chapter of my journey is another change - a new adjustment for my mindset. The first 6 months of my progress was very evident. Obvious changes in my body that anyone could see. The last 10-20 lbs aren’t always AS drastic, so sometimes I have to remind myself to continue trusting the process and be patient with myself & my body. I’ve been chilling at 185 for awhile now, and as I’ve said before am in no rush to lose the last 5-10 lbs. I didn’t think my body had changed much in the last couple of months but doing these side by sides reminds me how far I’ve come. My mind is ALWAYS playing tricks on me so pictures are always a great reminder 🙌🏾
