Today is going pretty crappy. Feel like God and the whole universe is against little ‘ol me. Then I remembered what took place just 5 years ago. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made (let’s face it, I’m not the best decision maker, so when I make a good one, rest assured it’s the right one). I chose to take MY LIFE, my body, my health into my own hands and have literally a life-saving surgery. It’s been a ride. I’m still not at my absolute smallest, ideal weight, but damn it, I’M SKINNY!! I can proudly say that. And I say it with humility because having surgery was not the easiest way. It’s tough no matter which way. Keto isn’t the easier way either, but I am literally at the healthiest I’ve ever been and I’m 41 years old. Just know, if me, a food addict can take control of her own life, so can you!! 💜💜💜 #transformation#youcandoittoo#foodaddict#imasuccess#myweightlossjourney#5yearanniversary#weightlossaurgery#exercise#keto#illmotivateyou#letmeinspireyou#blessed#healthylifestyle#takecontrolofself
On the left I was 8weeks postpartum- I had gained a significant amount of body fat and had lost soooo much muscle😒. On the right- that’s me, right now!! 6 months postpartum. Losing some fat, tightening my core, I have quads again🙏🏽!! And those baby biceps are trying to make a comeback!
I was hesitant 😬 to post this progress pic because I’m not where I want to be yet💪🏽. I then realized I need to get out of my head- that part of my business is not only showing all the good things and all the perfect things. It’s about showing the journey! For the other Espy’s of the world and the other moms struggling with their bodies! Most women do not go from pregnant to perfection over night!
The journey is the best part of any transformation because it shows that 1. I’m a real person. 2. It’s about progress not perfection. 3. Reaching your goals is attainable as long as you’re consistent.
I’ve worked hard for this progress pic. I want to be as transparent as possible because sooo many people are not. I didn’t get to this second pic with anything magic. It’s been daaays of working for it and I’m still not where I want to be, but I will get there.
I work, I have a baby, a family, and a dog. I make time for friends and take my baby on outings. I looooove food and beer! I have a life outside of working out but I make it a priority- Every. Single. Day. Because I love myself and I believe that investing in my health is the best thing I can do for myself, my daughter, and my family. #postpartumbody#loveyourbod#loveyourbody#6monthspostpartum#bodyafterbaby#postpartumfitness#mombod#transformation#progresspic#letmeinspireyou#beerfitness#letsworkouttogether
C for China 🇨🇳 China is a MASSIVE country and has a very dodgy human rights record among other things. But it also has a plethora of sights and cities that you have to see!
Let's start with the capital of Beijing - this is where you can see some incredible sights such as the great wall of China, the forbidden city, the summer Palace, the ming tombs and the many parks including the temple of heaven. The amount of people can be a challenge and scary at first but you soon get used to it.
Also worth a visit are Xian and the city walls which I recommend you cycle, plus the terracotta warriors. I have seen the incredible tiger leaping gorge, panda breeding centre at Chengdu, World biggest sitting Buddha, incredible mountains, desert of the west with some great cities of Turpan, Dunghuang, and Urumqi. I also loved the old school charms and buildings of Pingyao and Lijiang. China has some cheap and great hotels or hostels but becareful as many are Chinese guests only and not for foreign visitors. It also has some of the worst toilets I have ever experienced in the world!!!
Getting a visa for China is quite frankly a ballache but after providing several rounds of paperwork and visiting the embassy a couple of times, you will get there and be on your way!
