Lens flares and sunlit piers 🙌
Shot from the rooftop of New Plymouth, Paritutu Rock, on a clear Saturday morning.
Any opportunity that presents itself, offering a chance explore and/or create, is an opportunity worth pursuing.
Anything we should know about the change?
The wretched desert is taking its form.
The jackal proud and tight.
In search of me, I feel my way.
Through slowest, heaving night.
Whatever fear invents;
I swear it makes no sense.
I reach out through the border fence,
Come down, come talk to me.
In the swirling, curling, storm of desire.
Unuttered words hold fast.
Towers built to last,
In the swampy August dawn.
Darkness creeps in like a thief,
And offers no relief.
Why are you shaking like a leaf?
This is all so unreal.
Can’t you show me how you feel?
I did not come to steal.
We can unlock this misery,
Come talk to me.
I can see the moment,
Breakin out through the silence,
All the things that we both might say,
And we will not be denied,
Till we’re both on the same damn side.
I’ve never laughed so hard,
With barriers blown away.
Now come on, come talk to me.
So turn down the lights.
Turn down the sounds.
Turn down these voices, inside our heads.
Lay down, tell me no lies.
Just keep me close, don’t patronize me.
Here in the dark,
These final hours,
I will lay down my soul,
I feel the power, but you don’t.
Morning will come, and I’ll do what’s right.
Just give me till then to give up this fight.
Working more on lighting and editing colour. I like a slightly more abstract style. My thought is that the initial shot you take is really only a canvas to insert your own style and personality into the picture!
