Today was a rollercoaster. I woke up with shocks everywhere. I kind of felt like a clownfish in their anemone that was also being struck by lightening here and there. @dabbin_stu drove me to teach a private in the morning, which helped me get distracted and deal with the shocks. When I’m teaching or training they tone down a ton, not sure why. We got gas on the way home and I bought aloe juice at the station because I love the stuff and haven’t had it in ages. I drank the whole thing pretty quickly, and an hour later I was almost shock-free. Thankfully I bought two so I was able to feel normal again for a long while. By the evening I had finished my juices. I taught another private, took two classes (one being the amazing @reelsmartcookie’s pole class), and taught another class. By the last class they were coming back a bit but even now as I’m sitting on my couch, they’re nowhere as intense as they have been the past week or so. •

All this week I’ve been wishing and praying and begging the universe for a magic potion that will make the shocking stop. The universe provided. I don’t know if it’ll work forever. I don’t even know if that’s actually what gave me those hours of peace. All I know is today I am more than grateful for a semblance of an answer. ❤️ •

I get lots of DMs from girls asking how to see progress and results and how they’re struggling to see change. I get asked how I did it. What they can change. What’s my “secret.”

I can give you all the advice and tips in the world and suggest things that I think may work for you. But at the end of the day, nothing I say or reccomend will do anything for you unless you want it badly enough.

Seeing change and making progress is not linear. And there will be days or even weeks where all hope seems lost but THOSE EXACT MOMENTS are what separate the good from the great. Yeah, you may feel good working out and eating better but when you WANT and STRIVE to kick ass and be the best version of yourself, THAT is when the results will come.

Push yourself to your limit and then go further. That is where great progress lies.

Feeling extremely drained and like I’m living in slow motion this week. I took today off from the gym to fully relax and get to bed early. The past couple of weeks have been jam packed with high stress, loads of school work, and lots of long naps in place of a good nights sleep. This week past week has felt like a blur and I had enough of telling myself to keep pushing so I resisted the urge to hit the gym today and have been relaxing and eating my dairy-free Ben & Jerry’s.

IT’S OKAY to have off days. It’s okay to feel down. It’s okay to not be on top of everything. It’s okay to feel down and stressed. Not every day is going to be a good day. And THATS OKAY! Bad days are a part of life and no body is perfect so don’t beat yourself up on your down days.

💪🏼 WHY YOU MAY NOT BE SEEING RESULTS 💪🏼

1️⃣ You aren’t counting calories/macros. Eating intuitively is great and I 100% support it. But it can hold you back from seeing progress if you aren’t completely familiar with your foods and how your body reacts to them.
2️⃣ You count calories/macros but you’re following the wrong calculations made for your body or goals. I’ve learned the hard way that online calculators are great when your beginning and are amazingly informative but they are also highly generalized. So as much as it calculates based on your input, it doesn’t specifically fit your body and its needs.
3️⃣ You count calories/macros but you don’t consistently change your macros. Your body adapts to patterns and when you eat the same amounts consistently your body and metabolism adapt. Continuously making adjustments keeps your metabolism on edge and helps to boost it up.
4️⃣ You eat too many processed foods. Highly processed foods can cause lots of digestive issues. Try sticking to whole nutritious foods and your body will thank you tremendously.
5️⃣ You aren’t practicing enough self discipline. Whether it be with getting in the gym or sticking to healthy food or staying within your calories/macros.
Not eating/training to reach your goals can and will hold you back.

This week I started a mini cut and I’m super excited about it and to push myself for the next few weeks! I definitely love a challenge and I’m ready to see some results. It’s a beautiful day to chase after some goals so let’s all get after it!!

Forearms are the one muscle group in which I almost never see anyone doing. Reason for that is probably because no one really cares about them because they don't necessarily stand out like your biceps do. That being said training your forearms are very important because doing so will allow for you to hold more weight or do more reps on almost every exercise. A lot of people overlook the importance of their forearm strength and grip strength when in reality it's a very important muscle to train.

Here's very solid superset that will completely burn out your forearms 
1. Standing straight bar wrist curls 
2. Kneeling wrist curls

For the standing wrist curls you want to twist the bar with one wrist at a time, and really squeeze your forearm on every rep. For the kneeling wrist curl you want to pause at both the top and bottom of the movement and really squeeze your forearms. Also make sure your going to failure on every set! If you do these both properly you should have trouble making a fist with your hand for a few seconds after your sets.

Stop neglecting your forearms and start incorporating some exercises that strictly target them into your routines!

Two years ago, on this day I stepped on the soccer field to play a game. Two years ago today, I had no idea it would be my last. The sport I love and adore was taken from me in a split second when I got hurt. I had never been injured too severely but as soon as it happened, I knew exactly what it was.
•
For 16 years I shed blood, sweat and tears for a game I’ll forever cherish. For the lessons it taught me, the challenges I learned to over come, the drive it instilled in me and most importantly the friends I made that will last a lifetime.
•
As devastating and difficult as it was to face, I never thought I’d be where I am today. Not this soon, not ever. In two years I’ve managed to fall to my lowest and struggle to get back up. And in two years I’ve managed to transform myself into the happiest and best version of myself.
•
It has been a long road coming but I’m not done yet. Thank you to everyone along the way. Thank you to everyone who has been there to pick me back up. Thank you to everyone who has supported me in every way possible. You all mean the world to me and I can’t thank you enough. And I can’t wait to prove everyone who’s ever doubted me wrong. This day will always weight heavy on me but has also been the day that lead to forming a new meaning for my life. Even when it wasn’t the brightest of days soccer never ceased to change my life for the better. 💕💕

OCTOBER 15TH, 2016 • Two years ago, on this day I stepped on the soccer field to play a game. Two years ago today, I had no idea it would be my last. The sport I love and adore was taken from me in a split second when I got hurt. I had never been injured too severely but as soon as it happened, I knew exactly what it was. • For 16 years I shed blood, sweat and tears for a game I’ll forever cherish. For the lessons it taught me, the challenges I learned to over come, the drive it instilled in me and most importantly the friends I made that will last a lifetime. • As devastating and difficult as it was to face, I never thought I’d be where I am today. Not this soon, not ever. In two years I’ve managed to fall to my lowest and struggle to get back up. And in two years I’ve managed to transform myself into the happiest and best version of myself. • It has been a long road coming but I’m not done yet. Thank you to everyone along the way. Thank you to everyone who has been there to pick me back up. Thank you to everyone who has supported me in every way possible. You all mean the world to me and I can’t thank you enough. And I can’t wait to prove everyone who’s ever doubted me wrong. This day will always weight heavy on me but has also been the day that lead to forming a new meaning for my life. But we all know that most gyms aren’t fun or inviting. And we can’t just blame the gyms for that.... because it’s also the members fault for not creating a more positive atmosphere.

So here’s the deal. I have 3 challenges for you this week:
1. Be better than you were last week.
2. Compliment at least 1 new person every day at your gym.
3. Create a FUN and inviting environment at your gym.

I haven’t been feeling 100%, which means my vision is crossing more than usual, my nerves are shocking me, and I feel as though I can slide into a seizure at any moment. It means aerial and driving are off the table. 🙅🏻‍♀️

It started on Thursday when I was practicing my piece. I can see it in my face in the video (the face of someone trying to be sexy while feeling sick 😂). After the first hair flip my world shifted and got smaller. The music dimmed a bit. I got dizzying pressure building in my nose and my throat, not the normal dizzy that creeps in behind the eyes. For me, “the show must go on” even in rehearsals, so I tried to push through. As soon as I lifted my body off the mobi I felt a weird pressure, almost like being inside a stocking. That’s why I sat back and cursed. My brilliant brain said, “it’s fine just keep going,” but I couldn’t hit that last shape so I dropped down.

Frustratingly, I’ve been up and down since. That night I felt well enough to teach my classes, though my husband drove me. This morning I woke up feeling so good I listed it as one of the things I’m grateful for today. Yesterday I was sick until later in the evening and then I felt fine. Even now, I’m not nauseous, unable to move, or in pain (except when my nerves decide to fire). I just feel weird and uncomfortable. My vision is so crossed it’s more comfortable to just keep my eyes closed, and I keep getting the tingly feeling that usually accompanies a seizure, but I can still walk around. •
I know I’m not just quitting when things like this occur... Yet, because I’m not immobile sick in bed, I feel like I’ve given up when I know I could do more. Because I’m not unconscious on the floor I feel like I’m allowing my epilepsy to take over and tell me how to live. Because tomorrow morning or later tonight I know I’ll feel totally fine again, I constantly wonder if I’m making it up. Tbh, it’s not frustrating, it’s infuriating.

Tl;dr: chronic diseases suck and sometimes they win battles. The trick is to not let them win the war.

The weekends are the perfect time to re-evaluate our goals and set new ones to accomplish.

Here are so beginners tips for you if you’re trying to lose weight and are struggling to get there!!

Beginners tips to losing weight:
- track your calories/macros it may seem obvious but if you aren’t tracking its hard to be accurate enough to reach your goals
- STICK TO YOUR CALORIES/MACROS I cannot stress this enough, do not think that underrating with help you because you will not see results and you will only hurt yourself and see the opposite effect happen
- Ditch all the crazy diets and excessive supplements and stick to the basics dieting is not healthy for you and neither are the crazy pills that “drop 10 pounds in a week”
- Cut out processed foods. Now I’m not saying completely but limit them to the bare minimum. Your body with thank you tremendously
- Take apple cider vinegar, it can help you boost up your metabolism
- Lift weights!! A lot of people get wrapped up in the cardio side of weight loss but lifting build up the muscle to help blast stubborn fat

Hitting legs and growing the peach and my favorite things to do. I recently amped up my lower body workouts to maximize what I was getting out of them and these are my top moves to sculpt the best legs/booty possible:
1️⃣ SMITH MACHINE KNEELING SQUATS: 3 sets of 12

Something light. I remember when ego lifting was a thing until that thing fucked up my back and made me realize form over weight. Always. I haven’t gone to my max for a while. Maybe I should do that soon. It’s the little things that make me realize the most important training is functional training will last much longer than strength. Throwing around weight is fun for sure but I’ve being doing plyometrics lately and it has helped my conditioning too for the upcoming football season. I never thought I’d accomplish having the legs/glutes I always dreamed of having after I got injured. BUT HERE I AM!! But now my goals have changed and I’m ready to push these babies further.

If you asked me what my fitness goals were a year ago, I quite literally had none. I had every excuse in the book made for myself and had no intention of changing my ways.

I loved sitting on social media and dreaming about having a body like every fitspo person I looked up to. I loved making excuses as to why I couldn’t and shouldn’t workout. Simply put, I had every high hopes that one day I’d wake up miraculously transformed.

A year later, I’ve transformed my mind and body into something I am so I credibly proud of. I’ve gone from major body image issues to loving every part of myself in every state.

HOW?? I made myself a priority and found every way to make every goal of mine come true. This journey and transformation has made me the happiest version of myself that I’ve ever been.

If you don’t truly want to invest in yourself for yourself, you’ll always find yourself struggling to make an effective change. So my advice, FIND YOUR INNER FIRE THAT DRIVES YOU!!!

Eventually, I came to my senses, did my own research, educated myself to see the difference between real and money. And here I am today! Well, the photo to the right was right before this pregnancy, but you get the point 😘

🥑 MEAL PREP MONDAY 🥑

THESE MEALS ARE SO 🔥 FIRE 🔥 super nice macros and allows for a lot more food.
•
CAULIFLOWER FRIED RICE: (7 servings)
-Riced cauliflower medley (4 bags - green giant)
-chopped broccoli (4 servings of steamed broccoli)
-ground chicken (8 servings)
-low sodium soy sauce (1 cup)
-low sodium terriyaki (1/2 cup)
I cook all the ingredients separately and then throw them all together and mix in the sauce and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. I fricken love fried rice so I LOVE THIS RECIPE.
•
FAJITA BURRITO BOWL: (6 servings)
-fajita mix (1 packet use half to season peppers half for chicken)
-ground chicken (8 servings)
-riced cauliflower (3 bags - green giant)
-one red pepper diced
-one yellow pepper diced (simmer the peppers together in fajita mix for about 15 minutes)
-salsa
-flatout flatbread
I cook them separate then combine them for about 5 minutes. The picture doesn’t show it as a burrito but the calories and macros include the salsa and flatbread in them and BOOM you got some FIREEEE FOOD.

I love prepping my meals on Sunday nights because it just makes my life so much easier. This week I cut back on super dense carbs to allow for more food throughout the day.

I’m going to be starting a mini 5 week cut next week leading up to a trip I’m going on and I’m so ready to see some transformations happen and see where I’m at physically before the real prep for 2019 gets real. I’m getting super hyped lately and it’s the best feeling. I can’t wait to keep it up into the new year.

This journey will never be easy. Choosing the healthy foods, prepping for hours every week, having to turn things down. Sometimes it feels like it’s never ending.

What it comes down to is IF YOU WANT IT. And how BADLY you’re willing to work for it. You can stare at a screen all day fantasizing about creating your dream body but that won’t make it happen. You’ve got to figure out what YOU want and chase after that.

Getting my splits back is a little personal goal of mine lately that I want to achieve for this month. 📆 I found that the days I don’t feel like going to workout are the days I have my best workouts. So my advice to anyone who’s not in a gym mood for a day you planned to workout : just go do it ! If it sucks upon arrival, push through for 10 minutes, and if it still sucks, leave. At least you got 10 minutes of something in for that day🙌🏽 Any progress is good progress! 💯

✖️ YESTERDAY WAS A STRUGGLE ✖️

I woke up this morning after a tough Friday evening with a great amount of newfound motivation. Last night I came to the gym after work and it felt like I hit a brick wall at full speed. I pushed myself to hit an hour workout but struggled the entire time with makin  that mind muscle connection and feeling like I was doing anything beneficial.
•
I’m one to be very hard on myself and I let that get to me and felt like an absolute failure the entire night but I knew something needed to change if I wanted to keep pushing forward and reaching the goals I’ve set for myself.
•
After realizing change was needed I went and treated myself to some new supplements and got to brainstorming the changes to make to see the results I want and after setting my new goals for myself I found myself with a HUGE new boost of motivation this morning and got in the gym ready to continue pushing.

WHY AM I SHARING THIS STORY??
Because fitness pages can get really caught up in the positives and good progress and flashy pictures and don’t always get real about the struggles. This journey I’m on and Ang journey you find yourself on is NOT always going to be sunshine and happiness. There will be times where you feel like nothing can go right and times where you can beat yourself up. I’m here to tell you to stop and realize that it’s part of the process and it will get better. Pick your head up and keep pushing because IT WILL PAY OFF!!!

Ok, so I am in a 30 day challenge with @prettyhustlenation and I am 4 days behind so time to catch up! But here goes! I am a mom, wife and horse crazy girl (never grew out of it lol!) I work at a horse barn, Cloud 9 Ranch, in Steinbach, MB, Canada, and I am also a financial educator, who has been slacking in that department!!! But not anymore! I am getting back into it in full force! I got the kick in the pants that I needed. I got into the finance part of it after a friend of ours @reimannwfg saved us a bunch of money and taught us a few things. His words to us were, “Do you know anybody that could use this information?”... to which I responded, “Yes, everybody!” So here I am, complete opposite ends of the spectrum, both which allow me to be with my kids as much as possible 🙂
