I always have a good time on set with @grassfedgeorge and @caleborn, these two are great friends and talented actors.
Fantastic lighting thanks to @kinoflolightingsystems, and I was shooting on #redepicdragon with #leicaglass
Shooting a fun Shakespeare project with some good friends @caleborn, @grassfedgeorge, and the very talented @emiliesogo. I was experimenting with #kinoflo lighting and #leica glass on a scene for our future film, sleep no more. Be sure to check out the end result of our test shoot here: https://vimeo.com/268510945
Last night my bro @alanevansphoto drove to New Hampshire to see the gig. Alan works at the @leicastoreboston, so he brought the new #noctilix75mm - it’s an f/1.25, the fastest aspherical 75mm lens ever made. Leica only shipped like 3 of them to the States last month- it takes like 2 weeks or something to make just one lens (I went to the factory in Germany last year and got to see their process- everything is done by hand- it’s crazy- you don’t get craftsmanship like this from regular camera brands, not even their most expensive gear.) Anyways, Alan let me play with the lens for a bit- I shot a little bit of Slayer with it on my MP240- HOLY DEPTH OF FIELD. I’ve shot with the 50mm Noctilux (thanks @nikkisixxpixx!) & my skills weren’t quite there yet, so I was super stoked to shoot with this lens with a little more experience under my belt. AMAZING LENS, like all #Leicaglass . One day when I win the lottery I’ll get one, because it’s quite possibly the baddest portrait lens ever made. Here’s @garyholt_official ripping it up through the #noctilux75mm .
